I must say that Djajanti House is a nice place to stay in Semarang, with an okay location. Its old and antique theme is pretty cool despite several issues we had to encounter before and during our stay there, which are; 1. Even though Dea is pretty responsive through (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) (while we could only got her number after we booked the room), she wasn't the most responsive host I have ever met in Airbnb. I asked few inquiries before I booked the room and got no respond for days. Despite all that, we took the risk and booked the room instead, because it was a long weekend and we were worried that there will be less available rooms for us in Semarang for those dates. 2. We just found out that the extra people charge was higher than it stated on Airbnb after we asked the host through (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). Tho, it was fine for us. But it would be better if the host would update it in the web :) 3. The host who was responsible for Airbnb bookings and the hotel concierge was not very communicative with each other. So when we got to the hotel, the concierge didn't know that there will be extra people. 4. We also just found out that we have to pay more money for extra bed and breakfast when we were checked in. That it doesn't included in the extra people charge stated in the web. 5. On our last night, we were about to go have dinner and the concierge came to our room and told us to better booked another room next door. She said that the room was too packed and she was told by the owner that we could be a nuisance for other guests (the room capacity is for 3 people, and we got 2 extra people for our last night which was Dea agreed for). 6. We were so upset that I had to ask to talk to Dea, but she said that Dea is not in Semarang right now. I decided to contact Dea through (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), and she just read my message without even replying. Waiting for almost half an hour, we decided to look for another hotel :) 7. All of the sudden, the concierge was back with an extra bed and said that we could just stay as we are and just pay for the extra people charge (excluded extra bed charge which we had to pay more for). 8. After that, I tried to call Dea for more explanation so that there wouldn't be more misunderstandings. But she didn't answer my calls, and just reply my (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) instead. Without apologizing, she just stated that they already prepared an extra bed for our room and that there is no need for us to book another room :) 9. Oh, and add to that. The hotel is under an expansion project or something. So since around 7.30 am, we could hear all this banging sounds...

I did really appreciate the staff warmth welcome, hospitality and cozy place where I stay a night there yesterday. Suggestion for improvement : - More details of the address, Gmap tag was wrong, it wasn't Jl Semeru Raya number 10, but number 4B. I spent 30 minutes to find the location - Too many mosquitoes, the place is cozy, ethnic, and nice but the mosquitoes make me can't sleep well all the night long.

This was a fantastic guesthouse. Great beds. Great Shower. Very comfortable, pleasantly presented - but no overly extravagant (and therefore very reasonably priced). Perfect for traveling. My favourite accommodation of all the 5 places we stayed in Indonesia. Very lovely and helpful staff.
