This charming one bedroom first floor apartment is located above our garage which is adjacent to but detached from our house. Set within 20 acres of private land, it is a very peaceful and unique spot with beautiful panoramic views over the Thames Estuary. The flat itself is clean and comfortable with its own bathroom and kitchen as well as a separate bedroom and an open plan living/dining area. There is parking available for one car on our driveway which is secured by electric gates.

The space
At the same time as being so peaceful and secluded, we benefit from being conveniently close to town (Rochester) with easy access to the A2 and M25 and excellent rail links to London (Strood - St Pancras in 32 mins on the high speed line).

We are located in the secluded hamlet of St. Mary Hoo on the Hoo Peninsula. Nestled in acres of farmland and overlooking the Thames Estuary, the scenery in this tiny village is beautiful all year round so walking is a must during your stay here.

There is lots of wildlife to be spotted here in St. Mary Hoo. We have one of the best locations for bird watching in Kent and Europe's largest Heronry can be found in the nearby village of High Halstow.

Great walks in and around St. Mary Hoo include the Thames sea wall and Saxon Shore Way. Look out for the array of wildlife on route - from hares and badgers to egrets.

I live in St. Mary Hoo adjacent to Stable Cottages with my husband. Our house and cottages sit within 20 acres of peaceful, private land overlooking the Thames Estuary and really are a little slice of heaven at the end of a busy day. When we aren't working we enjoy travelling around in our motor home and trips to Croatia.
