Thanks for your feedback. Although overall negative, we will take it as an opportunity to improve. We have reached the status of Superhost for 3 years exactly because we do care opinions of our guests.
However, your comments are in my opinion consequence of misunderstandings and deserve explanations.
Our main door was indeed needing minor maintenance which was planned and executed by coincidence the day after you left. Other doors do not have handles for specific design decisions, but can be easily opened by using the groove built in the vertical strip.
Payment of a city tax is a local law requirement which was introduced on April 2018 by local authorities. To my understanding, Airbnb is actively looking at how to include this payment in their system, but they are not yet ready. For this reason, we have no other option than cash it directly.
Following Airbnb indications, this information is included the house rules and, on top, it was mentioned in a direct message to you before your arrival. We will however look at ways to make it more prominent.
The camera is focused on the entrance door and it is exclusively used to gather positive confirmation that the cleaning team did their intervention after guests have left the apartment. There is absolutely no intention and no way of invading privacy of our guests. Again, we will look at how to further improve.
Incidentally, the Sofa in the living area is NOT supposed to be used as a fifth bed. This is very clear on AIRBNB listing where we indicate we have a max of 4 beds available (in case of occupancy of 7). You did not mention of your intention until we exchange messages and I immediately offered the proper alternative although you were only a small group of 4.
I hope this helps in improving customer satisfaction!
