The space
La Casa del Agua is located in the lower part of Altea’s Old Town, just a 2-minute walk from the beach and less than 10 minutes on foot from all the main points of interest: restaurants, shops, bars, and all amenities. This former fisherman’s house has been lovingly restored with great care, preserving its Mediterranean character with open, spacious, and light-filled areas, and a charming private patio/garden where you can relax and enjoy your holidays in one of Spain's most beautiful towns.

The house is spread over two floors:

- On the upper floor, you'll find a living room and two bright, spacious bedrooms (one with a balcony), along with a fully equipped kitchen that opens to the dining area, perfect for enjoying meals with family or friends. There’s also a full bathroom on this floor.

- On the lower floor, we welcome you to a small chill-out area, a laundry room, a guest toilet, and the house’s gem: a lovely private patio/garden, ideal for enjoying the fresh air.

Services and amenities:

- We provide 100% cotton sheets and towels.
- The house has air conditioning and heating, ensuring comfort all year round, both in summer and winter.
- For stays longer than a week, we offer a free weekly cleaning service.
- We also arrange airport transfers to make your arrival as smooth as possible.

The neighbours upstairs are nice and respectful, although you might hear them sometimes. The local tram passes close, and you may hear it.

As required by Spanish law (Real Decreto 933/2021, de 26 de octubre), guests must fill out and sign the traveller's registration forms. A few days before your arrival, I will send you a secure link to do so. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to complete.

In accordance with the legislation of the Valencian Community, stays exceeding 10 days are considered seasonal rentals, requiring the formalization of a seasonal rental contract.

Where you’ll be

Altea, Comunidad Valenciana, Spain

The two main attractions in Altea are the Old Town and the sea. And our house is ideally situated to take advantage of both as it sits on the edge of the Old Town and less than a two-minute walk to the sea. Always there is an opportunity to stroll along the seaside promenade or go to the beach. We enjoy this as much during the day as we do late at night. Almost everywhere you look there are both sea and mountain views; and these views are to say-the-least, stunning! There are almost limitless options of restaurants, cafes and gift shops scattered throughout the village and along the promenade. The promenade is both pedestrian and bicycle (bike rental is available) friendly.

Walk through the front door of La Casa del Agua and you step into the old town. The Old Town of Altea will not be a destination you will be heading to; instead it will be a place you will be living in. Most of your neighbors will be local people along with a few foreigners who discovered Altea and have made it their second home. Try as I might what I have yet ben unable to explain or understand is how friendly and open the people of Altea are.
