Our house overlooks the River Severn and is a stone's throw from the Severn Bridge. Built in the 17th century, originally as two cottages, the space has plenty of character and is completely private with access to the garden and outdoor seating areas with stunning views across the estuary. It has recently undergone total refurbishment and has underfloor heating throughout. The area regularly attracts bird spotters, fossil hunting enthusiasts and visitors to the old car ferry site.

The space
The spacious entrance hall leads to a bedroom with a built in wardrobe, drawers, iPod docking station, television and DVD library. Next door is a newly refurbished bathroom with dual sinks, rain shower and beautiful views. Due to the property's hot water and heating system - air source heat pump - there is the occasional low hum from the fan outside the bedroom window. There is a sitting room overlooking the garden with piano, cross trainer, sofa and microwave. We provide tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, microwave, granola and milk. There's on street parking just outside the drive, it's a very quiet and safe road so you'll be fine to leave your car there. Cyclists can bring their bikes inside and leave them in the entrance hall. Yoga enthusiasts can use our terrace and garden - we have a spare mat you’re welcome to use!

Guest access
Guests will have total privacy and will be the sole users of the bathroom, bedroom and sitting room. The sitting room has views over the garden which you're welcome to have unrestricted shared access to. Our large terrace is also shared and again you're welcome to sit here during the day and evening, up until 8pm. The views over the river are so beautiful and we'd be delighted to share them with you. Have your morning cup of coffee out there and see which birds you can spot!

Other things to note
There are services a 2 minute drive away and M&S Foodhall over the bridge in Chepstow. Thornbury is also close, about 15 mins away and there are some great pubs and restaurants here.

We're both travel lovers, especially Africa where we were lucky enough to live for 4 years. Ghana is an incredible country, having worked and made a ton of friends over there, we miss the mayhem but not the malaria! South Africa is a favourite destination as Alex has relatives over there. Airbnb is fantastic for meeting people from all over the world and we look forward to the opportunity to host and share our lovely home with you.
