The space
The Annexe has been luxuriously restored to that of a boutique hotel accommodation yet retains but many of its original features including original flagstone floors from 18th century. Guest's have their own private entrance and front door with ample room for on site parking 4/5 cars. The Annexe boasts a romantic original Rose Walled Garden leading to a Courtyard which is a sun trap til the early evening and lit in yo the night providing a wonderful secluded setting for alfresco Dining with friends.
The "Farmhouse" style Shaker Kitchen is full of character and well equipped with a Lacanche Range Oven, Dishwasher, American Style fridge, and for coffee connoisseurs a Delonghi Coffee machine (coffee beans provided). The Kitchen leads to an open plan intimate but spacious Private Dining Area with seating for 8 persons and providing a beautiful view of the gardens via the Patio double doors. A recent addition is a separate Georgian Panelled Entertainment Room to relax in “Den Style” with 2 large Sofas, and additional chairs providing seating for 8 persons. This is a lavish room with a large plasma TV with access to all Sky Channels, plus Netflix, Disney and Prime Amazon and several other platforms. In addition 50mb Wifi access is also available throughout the Property. There is a private patio for guests ideal for breakfast with views of the Manor House's splendid gardens. Access to a Laundry Room is also available.
The Annexe is furnished throughout with luxury fittings, including fine wallpaper and wall coverings, luxury Italian curtains, and beautiful varying shades of Farrow and Ball painted rooms, complete with chandelier light fittings. The Blue Staircase leads to a Galleried Landing with 3 large Bedrooms and a beautifully appointed Bathroom with a free-standing, deep Copper Bath, Walk-in Shower, and Italian Ceramic Vanity Unit. There are 3 WC’s, 1 located in the Bathroom, and 2 separate WC’s located downstairs. There is a beautifully designed 4th Attic Bedroom reached by a relatively steepish staircase, again spacious with a large velux window providing lovely views of the garden and the surrounding countryside. All the Bedrooms are large and have Super King or Queen size beds with Egyptian Cotton sheets.
Located only 15 mins drive from the Annexe is the Newt a magical 17th century woodland paradise, no expense has been spared to make this experience a totally unique one of all things Somerset and beyond !! Highlights now include a reconstructed Roman Villa Ventorum, with a working bathouse, stunning mosaic and handpainted decoration, and a surrounding Vineyard. With experts on hand in all fields from beekeeping a visit to the Beezantium is a must, to the stunning Parabola Walled Garden, or a visit to the Grotto an enchanting space filled with millions of crystals and walls of shells, to a fully working Cyder Press. The Newt is a "game-changing" day out and will leave you truly exhilarated !
We are also offering the addition of various Events at the Manor House which guests (staying/non-staying) are welcome to attend. Including an Artisan Chocolate Making Course of 3/4 hour morning or afternoon Workshop to suit guest stays. You will learn expert chocolate making techniques from a Master Chocolatier. Perfect for brides looking to create wedding favours for their big day, or simply a group of friends looking to meet up and learn a new fun skill, you will leave with 30/40 of your own handmade chocolates filled with yummy Somerset inspired flavours. Workshops are limited to 6-8 persons and are scheduled according to demand.

Guest access
The Annexe and surrounding gardens are available in its entirety to Guests with its own Private Entrance and ample parking adjacent to the Walled Garden for 3 cars (more if required). Guests are also invited to enjoy all the magical Gardens surrounding the Manor House.

The Annexe has become a popular choice for both Pre and Post Wedding guests, special Birthday celebrations and family get-to-getters. We are situated in close proximity to several stunning Wedding Venues and the Annexe has become a sought after location as a base for Wedding Guests attending venues at Brympton House, Cadbury Court, Pennard House, The Old Bridge and The White Barn. The Annexe is also ideal for both days out to the Jurassic Coast and the Dorset coastline (40 mins drive), and for a more cultural appetite the historic city of Bath (60 mins), and mythical sites of Glastonbury and Stonehenge are within easy distance.
The property is located in the Somerset hamlet of Ash, with neighbouring villages of Bruton, Castle Carey and Somerton boasting an array of Artisan stores, Flee Markets and some of the best food in Somerset.
The Ash village pub with home brewed-beer garden is a 3 minute walk away.
