Bellingen Lemon Myrtle Farm is a working farm and as such has livestock. Our Dorper sheep are pretty friendly and roam free. There will be snakes and spiders on the property as this is Australia after all. There are other properties in the area with dairy cows but we are also close to the townships of Fernmount and Bellingen. The gate must be closed at all times!

A cabin in the middle of a farm with sheep as your closest neighbours! This was a very different stay to anywhere else we have stayed before, if you want to get back to basics, this is the place for you. Bellingen is close by and has a great supermarket with deli to pick up food/drink for your stay. Shani was a great host and despite us getting lost on route, was very patient and helpful in helping us getting our bearings. Donna and Dave

Thanks Shani and Steve for your hospitality and sharing your lovely place. The kids loved the kayaking and the view is wonderful. We didn´t want for anything and would highly recommend this cute cottage to anyone who wants to explore the area.

A magical rustic cabin. We had a wonderful time, sipping fresh lemon myrtle tea, watching pythons dancing (Shani assured us they are safe and without venom!), kayaking on the billabong, and always admiring the gorgeous view. All in all, a restful and rejuvenating stay. Thanks Steve and Shani.

Fantastic little place in a picturesque setting. My kids normally use devices but while we were staying there we did not have any time as they were busy exploring, fishing or trying to play with the sheep. Had facilities to charge your phone if you use a car charger as the place is not on mains power. Just up the road from Bellingen, a lovely town. Relaxing time & great hosts!

What an amazing piece of the world! I highly recommend everyone to spend a night or two at this great little spot, 5mins from bellengin centre. Pot belly fire kept us more than warm and the wood fired pizza oven on the deck was fantastic! The morning fog rolling over the mountains and the crisp clear lake at the bottom of the house was incredible. Couldn't have loved out stay any more! Thanks again Shani and Steve!

We loved staying here! Such a beauitful rustic cabin with all the amenities you need. We stayed here with our 20month old toddler and she loved the sheep and wildlife roaming the property! Beautiful deck looking over the river and valley, pot belly fire and gas heating a bonus for winter. Thanks for having us!

What a lovely little shack off the beaten track. Perfect for an off the grid getaway. The location is five stars and the vibe is just lovely. Couple of extra creature comforts would add more value for money. If you need to unwind and relax this is the best place for you. Plenty of huntsmen around and a python too - if you're an arachnophobe this place isn't for you.

I love travelling and I am always planning our next trip. We have recently returned from Cambodia and Vietnam. I have been a traveller since I finished university. I have been to India, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau, Fiji and Cambodia. On my list is Laos, Ireland, Tibet and Cuba. I am a teacher and my husband is a builder. I have a book collection and my husband a tool collection. We have two children still at home, two working, as well as one at uni and one doing an apprenticeship and two grand daughters. We like to grow our own fruit and veges. We grow and distill Lemon Myrtle and Aniseed Myrtle at our farm, as well as other bush foods. We make our own soap and jam which is available for purchase. We have a slight addiction to Dorper sheep. We like floating around in our boat in the river and off shore catching fish. We love living in beautiful Bellingen and wouldn't live anywhere else.
