The neighbourhood

Our area is safe and secure and we have great neighbours(URL HIDDEN)Glasgow is a fantastic place to visit with lots to see and do. Being a fairly small and well serviced city, it doesn't take too long to get anywhere. Those with an interest in art, history and cool stuff will simply love the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery, Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow Science Centre with IMAX Cinema, the multi award winning Riverside Museum with its fabulous historic transport collection and access to the Tall Ship 'Glenlee', the Huntarian Art Gallery and Museum which showcases the Rennie Mackintosh House, the Peoples Palace and the Burrell Collection.

Getting around

Shopaholics can 'spend, spend, spend' with a great day out in the city visiting all the great stores on Buchanan and Argyle Street. Those in search of something a little more exclusive can usually find designer 'threads' in the city's upmarket Princess Square Gallery, House of Frasers, Merchant City stores or in the West Ends independent and retro boutiques.

Outdoorsy types can enjoy a gentle walk around the West Ends' Botanical Gardens, Kelvingrove Park, River Kelvin or even a spot of indoor skiing at Xscape. Being situated on the Forth & Clyde Canal, you may also fancy a quiet walk along this once important waterway. A little further afield, fantastic scenery and views can be experienced in the Loch Lomond and Trossach National Park, incorporating the 3200ft high Ben Lomond.

After a long day out sightseeing / walking or shopping, Glasgow has some great places to eat and drink. The nearby 'West End' has a great social scene with a huge variety of cafe's / delicatessens / bars / restaurants to suit every budget, occasion and taste. We're Richard & Lisa - an easy going and friendly couple who love travelling the world, meeting new people and sharing tales. We've travelled through Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand and we used Airbnb which we thought was great. As we live in a large townhouse with 3 extra double rooms, we though it would be cool to reciprocate the great hospitality we received and share our place with fellow travellers and visitors to Glasgow. We would be happy to help you in any way we can with your travel plans, transport, choices of restaurants and bars etc.
