What an amazing place! If you want to see the real Canada this is definitely the place to go. The cabin is like nothing I've ever seen before, the bed is probably the biggest we has slept in, the views are unbelievable and the lake is only a short walk away. Steve is a brilliant host, we felt well looked after and would 100% stay here again. :) thanks Steve and Lesley for a relaxed 2 nights to break up our trip in Canada.

This rustic, gorgeous lake location is terrific for families. Our kids had a great time exploring the beach, swimming (lake temp is perfect), canoeing, and fishing. It is so beautiful and wild. Steve is a terrific host and was so helpful with any problems that came up. Its wild and the drive up the forest service road is very country (for us city-dwellers from US) but once we were there, we stayed for 8 days and nights. I would recommend it!

We had such an amazing time, spending quality time with family visiting from abroad. Lesley and Steve were great hosts, Steve even helped out with a flat tyre. We will definitely go back again, and we will come prepared for the mosquitoes.

We stayed at this cabin for our honeymoon. It was not quite as we expected but it was still good. Steve greeted us and was very friendly. He never bothered us. Saw him in passing and asked how things were. Was helpful with any questions we had. It definitely is secluded as stated. The beach is a walk down the hill about 5 minutes. It's not sandy but it was still beautiful and amazing water. We enjoyed hanging out down there. The cabin was powered by a generator. In the information we were given when we booked it said there was power by solar panels and hydroelectric power with a generator if extra power was needed. So that was a bit disappointing when that was not the case. We had to go outside every night to shut off the generator. You also had to have the generator on for water. And the hot water was a bit of a pain. You had to turn the hot water on in the bathroom, which you had to work at and get the right angle on the tap for it to work, for the hot water in the kitchen to work. The fridge wasn't the coldest but we made it work. The information also said there was a canoe for use however it was broken and we could not use it. We found a dead mouse in the fireplace in the bedroom and also one running around the house that came through a gap in the screen door. Not a big deal for us as we aren't afraid if mice..but people who are might not be okay with it. This cabin is out there so mice can't be helped. The cabin itself was very cozy. The bed was comfortable. The deck was our favorite. Sitting out there at sunset the view was gorgeous. We barbecued every night while enjoying the view. You can hike from the cabin to some beautiful falls. We toured around the area a bit. Seymore arm was a nice area. A new cafe was opened up there serving food. The location was very quiet an peaceful.
