Beautiful and walkable

Guests say this area is scenic and it’s easy to get around.
3 Bedroom cottage. Hot tub with robes provided. Log Burner, carpets in bedrooms and living room. 1 King bedroom, 2 Twin Bedrooms and a large sofa bed sleeps 8 in total. All of the bedding is Egyptian Cotton. Front garden and back enclosed garden. 15 minutes slow walk into town. Pub over the road serving excellent food. Excellent base to explore the Lakes, do activities or simply relax. Pets are welcome max. 2 There is also a Travel Cot and High Chair available.

The space
Keswick is in the North of the beautiful English Lake District. It is a market town with an array of Bars, shops, restaurants and cafes. It is easily accessed by car from the M6 and A66. The nearest train station is Penrith from which you can get a local bus or a taxi.
Walkers are close to Skiddaw, Blencathra and Latrigg to name but a few. The two nearest Lakes are Braithwaite and Derwentwater where watersports are available.
Mountain bikers have access to Whinlatter Forest 10 minutes away and Grizedale Forest about an hour away. For those looking for culture, The Lakes Distillery, The Theatre on the Lake and Wordsworth's home of Grasmere (and the famous Grasmere Gingerbread) are a short drive from the cottage taking in some magnificent scenery along the way.

Guest access
Guests have the use of the whole house and Gardens. We are dog friendly up to 2 dogs but they must not be left in the house unattended.

Other things to note
The bedrooms are downstairs and the living space is upstairs. There are 4 steps to ascend to enter the property.
We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance as refunds will not be given if weather conditions or illness prevents you from travelling.

Neighbourhood highlights

We are in the Beautiful National Park of the English Lake District. Keswick is on the two Lakes of Bassenthwaite and Derwent Water. There are water activities available on the Lakes such as Kayaking and Sailing. We are a short drive from Borrowdale where there is a huge range of Rock Climbing and Close to the Northern and Western Fells including Skiddaw for the hikers. Whinlatter Forest offers some superb Mountain Biking and Walking trails and is a 15 minute drive from the cottage. The cottage is in a residential area. It is set in private gardens and whilst it is near to a main road, it is secluded. Neighbours in the adjacent property are residents who spend part of their time here and the other part in a house in the South.

I live with my partner and 2 boys in Cumbria. We love the outdoors and make the most of our area by Rock Climbing, Sailing, Kayaking, Mountaineering and Mountain Biking. My partner is a Rock Climbing and Mountain Biking Instructor who is working towards his Mountain Leader Qualification. I am a very competent Sailor and Mountain Biker so we have no shortage of quality instruction and fun!! We own two holiday cottages in Cumbria, both are listed on here. We also love to travel and experience new things.
