Welcome to the King Cake Suite! Only 2 blocks to French quarter and 6 blocks to Frenchmen street music clubs. Located on the new Rampart/St. Claude Streetcar line, you'll be 1 block to the closest stop on N Rampart St.

House includes a stunning courtyard. Private half bath in the master bedroom. Gorgeous courtyard oasis. Check the second line schedules on the WWOZ website when you plan to visit…one may pass right by your front door!

The space
Perfectly situated for you to experience the best of New Orleans... we are walking distance to the craziness of the French Quarter, the fantastic music of Frenchman Street, and the laid-back quirkiness of the Marigny and the Bywater neighborhoods. Concerts and decadent restaurants in the Central Business District are accessible by a longer walk or by streetcar. Ride share apps or cabs will make the festivals in Mid City feel right next door...but if you want to travel like a local, rent some bikes and cruise up the Lafitte Greenway instead. And if you want to get all fancy and see how the 1% live, you are just a streetcar ride away from all the gorgeous Uptown neighborhoods!

To clarify this property has 1 loft bedroom with 2 sofa beds in the main level common area rooms. After reading this and looking at the listing photos, if you have any questions regarding how exactly this space is laid out please do not hesitate to reach out to us before you book! We do have a strict cancellation policy so we want to make sure you know this place is right for you before you decide to book :)

On-street parking (for free) is available. Just to clarify...there are no reserved spots for the house, parking is street parking right in front of the house. If the spots right in front of the house are taken there is plenty of parking a bit further down the street (you should never have a problem parking very close to the property!)

Guest access
The entire property is yours. The courtyard out back is shared with the unit next door...bring out a bottle of wine and it's likely you'll make some friends!

Other things to note
This is a traditional New Orleans duplex, also known as a "double shotgun" house. Be aware as in most double shotguns this means 2 things: 1) there are no dividers between rooms within the property, and 2) the wall separating you from the unit next door is pretty thin. Besides from making sex education in New Orleans' public schools essentially unnecessary, it can be a bummer if you are having a rave when next door people be trying to get their sleep on. For this reason please observe quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM in case your neighbors decide to call it an early night.

***Repeating this here just to make sure...the King Cake Suite's 1 bedroom is a loft bedroom. This loft bedroom is accessed by a staircase and is not divided by a wall/door to the rest of the house (i.e., there is no entry door/wall separation between the downstairs area and the loft). The 2 sofa beds are located in the 2 common area rooms which are not separated by a door/wall. After reading this and looking at the listing photos, if you have any questions regarding how exactly this space is laid out please do not hesitate to reach out to us before you book! We do have a strict cancellation policy so we want to make sure you know this place is right for you before you decide to book :)

***Be aware…if there is a guest next door and they make a complaint about noise after quiet hours, you will be contacted via AirBnB messaging and you will have one chance to tone it down. If we receive a complaint after the first warning that results in us needing to issue a partial or full refund to the guest next door due to their inability to rest/sleep during quiet hours, you will be charged for the amount of the partial or full refund we give to that guest.

***Please note...you must report to us via the Airbnb chat if damages are found upon arrival so that you are not held responsible, and you must report damages done on your part during your stay so that we know what to fix for the next guests.

Grill is BYOP (Bring Your Own Propane...although it is likely there will be some leftover from a previous guest)

The Marigny was established as New Orleans' second suburb in 1806 and is an eclectic neighborhood with gorgeously renovated houses.

Make sure you take time to just wander around...your new favorite local store/restaurant/bar could be around any corner!

And please realize that there are many long term residents in this neighborhood...treat it as you would if you were back home :)
