Welcome to The Nook, your little haven nestled just below the Arreton Down Nature Reserve, part of the historical Arreton Manor, now a private home.

The Nook is beautifully light and airy with wonderful, high A-lined ceilings spanned by traditional heavy oak beams with large windows overlooking the gardens. You will have a private guest suite which is comprised of a bedroom, shower room and separate kitchen and living area. Expect soft towels and cosy bedding. We want you to relax and revive!

The space
The Nook is excellent for anyone needing anything from a romantic retreat to a base to explore the island from. Arreton Manor is steeped in history, having been owned by eight monarchs since before 872AD, when it was first recorded by Alfred The Great in his Will. The manor has always been a prominent historical home to the island.

Please be aware that this is a family home and the usual noise comes with that although it is generally peaceful. The house does have events such as weddings and comes alive during Festivals, Halloween and New Year's Eve.

Feel free to find us under Arreton Manor on Facebook, our website or Instagram (arretonmanor) for more details.

Where you’ll be

Arreton, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom

We literally have everything on our doorstep but you feel like in you're in the middle of nowhere when at the house. We have excellent walks directly accessible from our garden that go straight onto the Arreton Down Nature Reserve.

Please feel free to explore our ornamental gardens and use our Hydropool swimspa which is set at a steady 35 degrees with its two seats and spectacular views. This is perfect for anyone who enjoys a never-ending swim without the need of any gadgets. It is also ideal for anyone who enjoys a dip and wants to sit back in bubbles and enjoy the views. We also have two excellent pubs in front of our grounds, one of which serves breakfast all day from 10am and Arreton Barns with its multiple local artisans' boutiques to explore. The renowned Farmer Jack's and also the Isle of Wight Studio Glass is just outside of our grounds.

Hi there! I'm a Mother of two teen boys and we have an easy-going home in the heart of the Isle of Wight. I'm sociable, independent and pretty laid back. I have travelled a lot, have lived in several countries so tend to get on well with people from different countries as well as those who enjoy travelling too. I have lived in the area only since August ‘17 after leaving 23 years in London behind where I also enjoyed being an Airbnb host enormously. I enjoyed it so much, I decided that I needed a bigger place! I welcome anyone who needs a place to revive or just a base from where to explore the island. If you are a history buff, our home would be a lot of fun for you as it has been around since before 872AD when it was first recorded in King Alfred the Great's Will, the first of the eight monarchs to own the Manor, and has a rather interesting history. We are nestled amongst the Downs so we have several walks around our home, accessible from the garden. We have super friendly dogs called Tango and Sawyer and a snuggly cat called Cocoa so I'm afraid that we cannot have pets as guests and can only have guests who like pets. This is a private home in which I have various rooms and one separate guest Annex, the latter of which can also be used as self-catering. I don't mind at what time you come in at at night and can only hope that you will enjoy your stay fully. I am usually busy in the house or gardens so tend to be at hand for my guests unless I have had to go to the mainland. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or a place to revive by yourself, I believe that Arreton Manor would be very welcoming for you. During the Festival, Wedding season, Cowes Week, Halloween, New Year's Eve and other such weekends, the house does come alive with parties. We have a licence if you wish to purchase any drinks or wish to have a bottle waiting for you in your room. We would be thrilled to have you become part of our home’s long history! We just ask you to please remember that this is our home and not a hotel and you will be seen as our guest rather than a faceless customer. Please feel free to check out our insta and fbk for more details and images under ‘arretonmanor’.
