Amazing experience! From the via ferrata do get to the sky lodge to having dinner "hanging" in the mountain to the actual open sky night of sleep and the zip lining on checkout, no words can express how great the whole experience is. Congratulations!!

An experience of a lifetime. Worth every penny. The dinner was fancy and delicious. There was wine and beautiful food. At night, we could actually see the Milky Way. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. There were more stars than I have ever seen in my life. I highly recommend this experience. The crew was very friendly and they speak English and Spanish. They are very knowledgeable and they take your safety seriously. Best time of my life.

Our trip to the skylodge did not go as expected. On our limited vacation time, after finding a sitter for our child, we planned to experience the skylodge and leave with photos to remember this adventure and share them to our friends. Prior to starting, one guide asked my wife to be in the back of the group without any real reason to do so. We said that we wanted to stay together in the middle and they let us do so for a few minutes. After only the second ladder, however, my wife asked a question about whether it was OK to use the rock or if she should try to stay on the ladder and the response was to pull her out of the line and tell her she had to go to the back. There was no explanation as to what was happening or why she was pulled from the line and her questions were not answered. I tried to go see what was going on, but I was not allowed to go down the ladder and was told it was not safe. The guides wanted to separate our group and send my wife to the back. My wife then said she did not want to go to the back and wanted to stay with me and my sister and tried to go up the ladder but was physically restrained by the guide, who held her to the side and asked everyone else, including my sister to pass and continue on. My wife got scraped up as all the other guests carabiners were dragged over her hands and she became extremely upset. At this point, I was allowed to descend the ladder and see what was going on, however it was too late to resolve the situation amicably and everyone was yelling. Our group had already been separated, and we had been placed into an embarrassing and unnecessary situation that we could not recover from in any meaningful way. I believe that the genesis of the problem was that it was nearly dark when we started the ascent and the guides had no patience for any questions or delays. It seems that from the start, there was an unfounded belief that my wife would hold up the tour, however we were not any slower than other guests, and indeed had to wait for others at multiple points on the trail after we were placed in the back of the line. The second half of the trip was completed in near total darkness with headlamps. I do not understand why this was necessary - the time of sunset is well known and there is no reason why we could not have started an hour earlier. It would have been great to watch the sunset from in the capsule and it may have reduced some of the early tension. When we reached the capsule, the guides did apologize for the situation and they did attempt to be civil for...

Response from Natalia:
Having Alex’s group was a tense experience, because the help offered from the guides was considered a slight. Our service guidelines make sure that everyone can climb safely and at their own pace, but sometimes people needed to be switched from one spot to another for that to happen, the process sometimes can require a lot of patience and not all our guests can handle it, even the fastest ones. This situation created a personal issue with Alex's wife, and put an incomfortable ambience for the entire experience. We feel that our team tried many times to be as cordial and professional as possible to help improve her experience, even the next morning when the ambience was still the same and felt from all our guests for the reminder of the trip. We try to control all the aspects of the experiences we offer; situations like this remind us that there is a percentage of the experience that is not up to us, but is up to our guests. The most important thing for all our guests is to make sure that they want to be here, so they can be open to the experience.

What an amazing experience! All of our guides were super professional and supportive. We always felt safe and in control. The climb up was very fun, and not too demanding as long as you're in ok shape. We were lucky and had a clear night, so the star gazing in the pods was perfect. If you're on the fence because of the cost, I would just do it. It's such a unique experience, and I have no regrets.
