Camelia Cottage is set in the grounds of Hill Farm, in the heart of the village of Morcombelake. Camelia cottage was originally a beach chalet brought from Seatown beach in the 1950’s. The chalet is a secluded, cosy retreat, hidden away down 12 steps surrounded by a Camelia garden. People are often surprised when they spot Camelia Cottage nestled into the hillside. It is the ideal location for getting away from the hustle and bustle, to enjoy walks by the sea or explore the countryside.

Other things to note
The village of Morcombelake is on the A35. Although Camelia Cottage is not near the road during the summer months the road can get busy and traffic noise from the road can be heard during the daytime.

Where you’ll be

Morcombelake, United Kingdom

Morcombelake is a small hamlet on the A35 between Bridport and Lyme Regis. It is surrounded by National Trust land which is fantastic for walking. We are a 20 minute walk to the coast path. We are 3 miles to the beaches of Charmouth and Seatown and 4 to Lyme Regis. In the village we have a fabulous farm shop, a tea room and the famous Moores Biscuits shop. Our local pub The Five Bells is a mile away in Whitchurch Canonicorum. In the neighbouring village of Seatown we have the award winning Anchor Inn pub and of course there are many wonderful restaurants, pubs, theatres, markets and much more in the nearby towns of Bridport and Lyme Regis.

I feel privileged as I walk over the hills with my dog each day and take an evening swim in the sea, never tiring of the stunning ever changing views.

I look forward to seeing my regular holiday makers every year and always look forward to meeting and being able to share this beautiful place with new ones.
