The boat seemed like a good idea but we couldn’t wait to leave. The check-in info was unclear and the host delayed in providing it. The first night was uncomfortably cold, even with the blankets provided. The rest of our 2-day stay was very hot. The boat had no air conditioning so the host advised to leave the door open. We could hear the neighboring boaters’ conversations at night. The entrance ladder would fall forward whenever we would climb down it to enter the boat. The host boarded (and rocked) the boat without warning or explanation, even while we were asleep. He also occasionally looked in from the dock through the boat door. On one occasion he asked if the electricity was working but we were still alarmed by the invasion of privacy. The only security was a fishing knife which I kept close to my bed. The listing doesn’t inform guests that the water buses don’t run to/from this island (Certosa) after 8:00 p.m. Since check-in is after 5:00 p.m., we got stuck off island when we dined in Venice. The city transportation bused us back and forth around Venice for 2+ hours but never reaching Certosa. We had to take a 70-Euro river taxi for the 15-minute boat ride to Certosa because it was 1:00 a.m. and we were exhausted and frustrated. The next day I read in the owner's hard-to-read visitor book about the infrequency and time limits of transportation to Certosa. The next morning the host told me we couldn’t wear shoes on the boat for our safety. From his neighboring boat, the host watched our feet whenever we got on and off the boat. Later, I read in his visitor book that rubber-soled shoes were okay, which is what we were wearing. We asked a marina employee about the barefoot rule and he stated it wasn’t dangerous to wear shoes on boats. In fact, the boat was so small (we couldn’t stand erect) that we stubbed our toes whenever we scooted about. There was virtually no counter space on which to place your things. There was a tiny, dingy toilet that you had to pump to flush and required used toilet paper be placed in a plastic bag. I chose to go to the restroom in the marina (where they also had showers) which was about 1/3 block away. There were a lot of lizards on the marina and mosquitoes in the showers and restrooms. I got 24 mosquito bites on my face and eyelids during the last night because I left my face uncovered due to the heat. This boat has seen better days and didn’t appear as pictured. The Wi-Fi didn’t work though the owner tried to get it to work but the marina rooster consistently crowed at 5:00 a.m. There were clean blankets and towels and a rose in a water bottle so I got the impression that the owner tried to make the stay nice for us.

All well Felise? All right! Everytime that i met them on pier. Also, my passion is to spy my guest inside the boat.... No question, no doubts! Felise and her son go around the world Knowing everything, no doubt for them. People like you stay well only on her home! (Sté casa vostra che xe mejo!). PS: did you think that if i'm interested to your electricity on board i must to telephone you, that you're 3 meters far from me?

Not as difficult to find as allot of the reviews made out. Unique accommodation on a small island, absolutely loved it! Marino was really helpful and laid back, left us food and allowed us to store our bags on the boat all day during our final day in Venice. Would highly recommend!

A nice quiet spot off the mainland of Venezia with views back to the main island & Murano. You need to plan your trips of an evening due to the Vaporetto line changes but it's it's not a big deal, it just takes a little longer. If you're expecting 5 star this is not for you. But if you are relaxed about your stay you will enjoy the boat. All in all a nice spot to stay!

Very cool airbnb. Clean, cozy, and unique experience. Not the most central in Venice, but the island is relaxing.
