Trowbridge is the county town of Wiltshire with a rich history from the signing of the Magna Carta through the height of weaving / textile industry.

This B&B is located in a quiet, tree-lined residential street of the historic conservation area ’Newtown’ and the surrounding neighbourhood consists mainly of early- to late-Victorian houses. Its location is a short walk to / from the train station, which (as explained below) is very well connected by train services to Bath and many other interesting places.

Offices and institutions within easy walking distance include: Wiltshire County Hall, Trowbridge Civic Centre, St John of Gaunt School, Wiltshire Rural Music School, St Augustine’s Catholic College, and Trowbridge Museum. Just around the corner is a neighbourhood shop / news agent and there are many opportunities for all types of shopping a bit further on in The Shires mall (10 minute walk) and lots of entertainment options (cinema, restaurants) to enjoy at St Stephens Place (15 minute walk).

If you would like more information about a wide range of restaurants, inns and pubs within walking or easy driving distances, there's a list available in the room. Whether you like to relax in 16th- or 18-century inns, chain restaurants, or gastropubs, there's quite a lot to choose from.
