Located 60 mi east of Moab, UT & 110 mi from Telluride, CO, Paradox offers the best of both worlds. Explore alpine CO one day & high desert UT the next...or stay at the Inn & enjoy exquisite silence & stunning views. Sunrises and sunsets on the towering red rock cliffs are breathtaking. Feel the Old West in a remote ranching valley. Our facility is "off the grid"; please turn off lights, fans, tv, etc. when not needed. If many guests or cloudy, our solar power can go off! Sorry, no pets.

The space
Lago Vista is a spacious 900 sf building with a bright, sunny living area, functional kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bath. The Master BR has a queen bed and the second BR two twin beds. It's what's outside of the unit that makes the Paradox Inn unique. This charming unit offers spectacular views of the sunrise over red rock cliffs and the San Juan Mountains. You will want to open the blinds at night to watch the stars, and it is so private you might want the window open to hear the coyotes. "There was a great hiking trail nearby and abundant wildlife, it is off-the-grid, so you might prefer your own drinking water over that from the well. The furnishings were very comfortable and we would highly recommend the place.” - Georgia

Other things to note
Paradox Valley is remote so be prepared with food, essentials and a full take of gas.

Sprint is the only cell service available in the Valley so a land line is available.

The Inn's water is well water. Although it is safe to drink, you may not enjoy the taste. If you prefer tasteless drinking water please bring your own.
