Airds Wood Cottage is situated in the centre of this peaceful village, just a few minutes walk from the working harbour and a selection of forest walks. Choice of 3 beaches within .6 miles. The golf course is just a minute away and village pub and selection of eateries within walking distance. Pets are welcome by agreement - first 2 dogs free.

Recently renovated cottage in the heart of this peaceful 'end of the road' village. Lots of lovely tracks and paths to wander around the village - forget the car and just take time to slow down and explore what nature has to offer. Lots of maps provided to help you explore and a good selection of books and DVDs to immerse yourself in whilst enjoying the woodburning stove of an evening. Where you’ll be

Carradale East, Scotland, United Kingdom

Airds Wood Cottage is situated in the heart of the peaceful village of Carradale on the east coast of the Kintyre peninsular. It is just a minutes walk to the popular Carradale Golf course and a short walk down the road to the harbour which still has a working fishing fleet. There are lots of walks in and around the village - my favourite is the circular walk taking in the mile long stretch of sand at Carradale bay. The Kintyre Way long distance walk also passes through the village if you are feeling more energetic. Maps are available on the bookshelf. The cottage is also an ideal base for exploring the surrounding islands of Arran, Ghia, Islay and Jura. There are a selection of places to eat out within the village, and 2 public bars. Paul McCartney fans will be pleased to drive the 'long and winding road' to get here, also visit the beach where 'Mull of Kintyre' was filmed; visit the Mull itself and the Linda McCartney Memorial garden in Campbeltown.
