Stylish & comfortable, stunning castle view from bedroom, gorgeous original features & fully-equipped kitchen. Situated in vibrant & bustling Tollcross, 5 mins walk from Princes Street & the Royal Mile. A lovely oasis in the city centre!
The Space is a bright, sunny and spacious yet cosy top-floor one-bedroom flat full of colourful touches and quirky charm. The four rooms fan out to either side of the building from a central Hallway, with the Bedroom and Bathroom to the back and the Kitchen and Living Room to the front, creating a light and airy environment.
The Bedroom is very quiet and peaceful, overlooking a shared garden, and has a breathtaking view of Edinburgh Castle. The double bed is extremely comfortable with an extra thick mattress and high-tog duvet. There is ample storage and the window has functioning wooden shutters for privacy.
The Bathroom is clean and compact, and contains a bath with a good, hot, high-pressure shower. There is a skylight window letting in natural light and air.
The Living Room looks onto Bread Street. There is a large and very comfortable corner sofa which can be used as a single bed. The Living Room features a stunning, original fireplace and cornicing. There is a large flat-screen TV with Virgin Media digital service, and an Amp for use with Ipods etc.
The Kitchen is spacious and well-arranged, with a dining area and good cooking space. It has been recently upgraded with a new electric oven and gas hob, slimline dishwasher, large fridge-freezer and solid oak worktops. There is a full selection of cutlery, crockery, pots, cooking utensils and appliances including espresso coffee-machine. Just off the Kitchen is a small Utility Room with washing machine and clothes-drying pulley.
Interaction with guests
I always meet guests in person at check-in, in order to show them around the flat and answer any questions they may have. I'm also always just a phone call away if any help or advice is needed during their stay
Guests are encouraged to fully make themselves at home in my flat. I like to maintain good relations with my neighbours, so noise should be kept to a minimum late at night. The flat is my home when I don't have guests, so I greatly appreciate it being taken care of and kept tidy in my absence! However I do not expect guests to clean, take rubbish out, strip beds etc.
