Temporary rent out my 1-bedroom apartment 1 min away from Line 1 - Columbia University Station. The place is renovated couple months ago.

I rent it out to make my rent back when I am out of town so I prefer longer stays, so discounts are given out for longer stay.

Its not a luxury condo: it has some street noise, internet is OPEN INTERNET and might be slow for some device, cooking function is basic; I have a good fan but NO AIR CONDITIONING as the lease will terminate before it’s needed.

Apartment was fine, not enough towels provided for our number of guests, issues checking in and getting ahold of host for a couple hours after designated check in time and then asked to lie to university staff to get in to apartment - shady. Apartment smelled of smoke and window …

Response from Yihe:
I left four bath towels + 2 hand towels for the four guests. But I will leave out more towels for future guests to improve the experience. The previous guests didn’t put the keys back to the lockbox and I wasn’t by my phone when Micheal had problem checking in. My fault, I felt very very bad and immediately provided a $40 refund for the family. I didn’t want them to get them more trouble when the facility guys open doors, I did ask them to take the easier answer. Will not do that any more. When Michael mentioned that there’s still cigarette odor left by the previous guest I offered to send the cleaning lady in again. He said that’s not necessary. Next time I will try harder to tell the guest no smoking policy and ensure the cleaning lady make sure the place is well ventilated. I am aware now that not all device can have fast internet connection with the open WiFi. Because I am planning to move out the place soon so I do not have the plan to make an investment on the router and sign a annual lease of internet. I just updated my listing to provide information about all the flaws of my place to ensure all future guests are fully informed. All I am trying to say is I apologize for Michael’s trouble and I tried my best and will make all the corrective action I can.

Everything is nice. The place is near university, so general price is lower than other place. Near subway, near bus station and easy to go downtown in 30 minutes. Hope there would be 2 sets of keys and boiler in basement was a little bot noisy. But everything was good enough to e…

It was much nicer than I expected in NYC. Clean. Very minimalist. 2 blocks from the subway. The bed was quite firm. I am a heavy sleeper, but there is definitely street noise, as the unit is on ground level. But this is NYC, so that is to be expected.

I love travel, especially the spontaneous kind. I would like to rent out my New York apartment if I decided to take a last minute trip.
