The neighborhood is really awesome, super quiet, very little light pollution at night and there is a nice park right by the house. The check-in process was not what I expected and there were some key house rules that got missed in communication. The room was very spacious, the be…

Response from Moon:
I welcomed Franziska and helped her to bring her stuffs to upstarts in her room when she first arrived, which is what I always do to all guests. There are not any rule besides asking her to remove the shoes upon entering the house and remove sleepers when going upstairs. I had no idea what she expected. Wish she could have told me. The bethroom water pressure and temperature were never a problem from any guests. I always ask guests about the water temperature and make sure it is not too cold or too hot. . Franziska never mentioned to me there was a water temperature problem, perhaps we could have adjusted it. As for house temperature we did turn it down to 63 at night or when we were all out, but I told her how to turn it up on the first day when she arrived, In case she needed it warmer. While Franziska rented the room, We had another guest who felt too warm in his room and needed to open the window when it was sleeting outside. I wanted my guests to feel warm and confotrable so always told them to help themself in adjusting the house temperature. Parenty Franziska did not help herself for that, and I am surprised now to hear her complaint about this. Parking on the street is LEGAL, rotation is just being nice to the neighbor but certainly there is no need to move the car EVERY DAY. For long term renters who are like house mates, so oftenly people prefer to have their own beddings or some cleaning stuffs, so although the Airbnb’s list says no amenities, but if guest has problem I am always happy to provide needed stuffers without any extra charge. Wish Franziska could have communicated better if she had any problems about amenities. In the kitchen we have shelfs in the pantry, most of time plenty of spaces for everyone , so is in the fridge. If one needs more spaces just have to SPEAK OUT! I am always happy to move things around to share and make room for anyone. We do prefer wash dishes by hand here and cleaned dishes can be put anywhere but not just limiting to leave them in the dishwasher which is listed not incluted in the amenities anyway. The house is very quiet and I feel it got good soundproof, even the master bedroom next to my bedroom, I hardly hear much sound. So I never hear any complaint about lack of privacy in this house, due to the echo or not good soundproof. Franziska had altered her reservation twice to shorten her staying from three months to two months after she already moved in because her plan changed. As a quiet person, again she made changes without first communication, I accepted both alterations as she a pretty good house mate, although I had lost the whole month booking in June. I only wish she could have been more communicative and had spoken out for her needs, so I could have served her better.

Moon made me feel welcome by showing me around the town. We did yoga together and went for a bike ride so she could show the the Deschutes River Trail. The room was wonderful and the neighborhood is very nice.

Moon was very welcoming. I feel like I made a friend. The house is beautiful, the kitchen has everything, and the bedroom, which was upstairs, was quiet and well appointed. Moon, greeted me with tea and took me on a lovely hike the first day.

Moon makes the ultimate effort to greet, entertain, and provide the best experience while sharing her home. Her home is immaculate, and the accommodations were as good or better than advertised. We will comeback and stay with Moon, but not as guest, but as a friend.
