A cosy apartment for two, situated in the middle of the 2 thousand year old city of Augsburg,
quiet with all possibilities for sightseeing, shopping and relaxing.

The space

`The house below St. Ulrich´
Hello,
below the mighty St. Ulrich Cathedral you´ll find Augsburgs oldest group of houses, built in 1413, surrounding a quiet inner courtyard.
Though they were built in the Middle Ages, the houses were renovated to the highest standard.
There, the nice apartment is waiting for you.
You can expect a quiet, sunny and comfortable apartment with one bedroom, a living room, bathroom with shower and a small but well equipped kitchen.
You reach it at ground level through a separate entrance from the courtyard, where you can sit, using my charcoal grill for barbecue or just enjoying a glas of wine. On the other side it faces my private garden.
The bedroom has a big wardrobe and a French sized double bed.
You can use the Internet, watch TV or just sit at a cozy fireplace, reflecting on your stay. There is a free washing machine and a drier in the bathroom.
The apartment is quiet but located in the centre. It´s only a 5 min. walk to the heart of Augsburg - `Maximilianstraße´ (main street) -
`Puppenkiste´(puppet theatre) - `Freilichtbühne´(open air theatre).
Two alu bikes are free usable for you to explore the city or the green surroundings, to go swimming or visit our beautiful `Biergardens´.
A tram stop is just round the corner and you reach Munich in 30 min. by train.
Myself, I´m living in the house too. So I can give you many suggestions for sightseeing, restaurants and more.
Curious? So come and see:
`The house below St.Ulrich´.

Klaus was extremely helpful and informative as a host and easy to contact if we needed his help or advice. His apartment is absolutely beautiful as is this area of Augsburg. The apartment is close to the train station and is just off the main street so has a fantastic location too. Danke Klaus! :)

My wife and I stayed here while I was on a business trip. The house is beautiful and quite central which was ideal for my wife to explore the town while I was working. The rooms are quirky and have lovely artistic features and the house itself is a beautifully restored building in a quiet area but with bars and restaurants close by. I would happily recommend this for couples looking for something that little bit different.

Beautiful apartment. Quiet and in a perfect location. Klaus is an amazing host who was very welcoming but left us in total peace. Augsburg is also a really pretty and interesting city. Couldn't recommend more highly! Thanks Klaus.

My partner and I had the most wonderful week staying in Klaus' appartment in Augsburg. It was spoltlessly clean, cosy, welcoming and very comfortable. We made use of the woodburner so we were toasty warm and there were stacks of clean towels for us, as well as a hairdryer. Communications before the trip with Klaus were great - he was very quick to respond to any questions I had. As a host, Klaus was fantastic. He gave us all the information we needed, allowed us to borrow two bikes all week at no extra cost, and also gave us all the privacy we needed during the week too. He also speaks excellent English. The location of the appartment is perfect - a five minute walk from the main square in the city. It is tucked away too in a small courtyard on a very quite street so we were not disturbed by any noise all week even the church bells can only just be heard. The appartment really is as lovely as it looks on the photos and you won't be disappointed if you decide to book it during your stay in Augsburg.

Klaus was very welcoming and easy to communicate with regarding questions that we had before our arrival and during the stay. We really enjoyed staying at this listing, which is part of an interesting historic and architectural project in its own right. Klaus provided us with useful information and insight about the city and its various attractions. The actual apartment was very comfortable and well presented. It is perfect for a couple or a single traveller and is ideally located for exploring Augsburg on foot. Have no hesitation to recommending it.
