I stayed at Emery and her husband's Chris home for 3 days and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Her and her husband were great and very responsive to my friend and I. Emery had a folder filled with restaurant information (such as maps on how to get there and their menus) it made picking out a place to eat super convenient. It is definitely a nice and relaxing place to come home to after being a "tourist" in the city. Transportation was very close and convenient. As 3 days aren't enough to explore, I look forward to coming back to NYC and I would definitely come back and stay at their wonderful home.

I stayed for 3 days at Emery's place, the apartment was amazing, exquisite antique decor in every inch of her house. Bathroom and room were clean and comfy. Emery and her husband made me feel like home. Best stay ever in NY. Thanks for everything, I will definitely come back.

Emery and Chris provided a great space for me and my son. We were visiting universities, and one of those, Fordham was just up the street. The location was great for access to trains to Manhattan. Chris met us, showed us around, and gave us some suggestions. Emery was very good about checking on us, and offering any help. If my son goes to Fordham I will stay with Emery and Chris. Comfortable, well appointed, convenient, a great bathtub, and wonderful hosts.

Emery and Chris are awesome! It just feels like staying at home with old friends. They are very responsive to our requests and so patient with us (like taking us to the rooftop to see a moon eclipse). They are always so sweet and kind whenever we see them. The neighbors are also very friendly. Five minutes' walk to the 4 train. Great price for such service and location. Would definitely recommend friends to stay at the Haus of Taylor if they ever go to NYC.

Very comfortable place to stay. I felt totally welcome (EMAIL HIDDEN)fortable bed. Air conditioning. Emery and Chris very responsive, not at all intrusive. The neighborhood is a little funky, but I felt very safe walking around. Definitely not upscale, but that's OK with me. Convenient to public transportation (Harlem North train station in walking distance). Great Vietnamese restaurant up the street. Couple of nice neighborhood parks. Convenient to the Botanical Gardens.

Emery and Chris were great hosts. They were out of the country for the first few days of my stay, but they still kept in touch and replied to any questions promptly. When they got back stateside, they were as accommodating and laid-back as could be. The photos here definitely accurately represent what their apartment looks like--#nofilter! Oils and salts for the bath were a major plus (at least in my eyes). Any time there was a repair needed, they were always extremely quick to take care of it, oftentimes before I had even mentioned anything. Getting around is no problem--the apartment is less than a five minute walk from the 4 train, and less than 10 minutes from the D train. Parking seemed like it could be an issue at times, but I can't say for sure because I didn't have a car during my stay. Rest assured that you're in good hands with Chris and Emery; their casa es su casa!

The Haus of Taylor is stunning. On aesthetic alone, it's worth checking out. The creativity is electric, and the vibe is mellow. It's less than a one-block walk to the 4 Train (subway) to Manhattan, and about a ten minute (downhill) walk to the Metro North station. I will plan to stay here again - a great spot to be with kind hosts!
