We had a lovely stay for a week in Fabien's charming little house ! Right in the center of the old town, with immediate access to the shops and restaurants, a few minutes drive from Arles, it's perfectly situated. The inside of the house is quite charming with its stone walls and lovely historic atmosphere. The ground floor is a little damp, but that was not a problem). The place is very comfortable and gives you plenty of room for groups and families with 2 bathrooms, lovely beds, washing-machine and dryer, small dish washer, home cinema and good wifi, and an extra TV in the kitchen and bedroom for more comfort ! A couple of minutes walk takes you to the local cinema, tourist office, or beautiful scenic walks on the "Sentier des moulins" in the middle of Provençale countryside and windmills. A few minutes from Arles, a short drive to Camargue, les Baux, the Alpilles, St Rémy de Provence to experience the Van Gogh atmosphere and other lovely sites. Something for everyone : relax in the house, sit in the sun in the courtyard or go off discovering the area. Fabien was very kind and easy going and helped immediately by answering all questions. Thanks for everything !

Fontvieille is a beautiful quiet friendly town that proved to be an excellent home base from which to explore Provence (Arles, Avignon, wine country). Fabien's home is very central in the town with lovely shops and restaurants nearby. The listing is accurate and Fabien was very responsive in all of our communications. We shopped for food at the local stores to cook a number of our meals and the kitchen had everything we might need to do so. The appliances were all very new. We were four adults and 3 children (11, 13, and 14) and there was certainly enough room to accommodate. It was quite hot in the home at times. One of the upstairs bedrooms does have a small air conditioner. This was our first Airbnb experience and it was an excellent one. We would highly recommend Fabien's home to anyone wanting to explore Provence.

PROS: Unique accommodation cave house is more than 200 years old, awesome home theatre(my family loved it, it was almost like being in the movies), cute village, location is great, town is close to many lovely cities which you can drive to in less than 30 min such as Arles, Les Baux-de-Provence, Avignon and St Remy, friendly and helpful host, reasonably cool in the cave on hot days, good wifi, 2 bathrooms is great for a family. CONS: There is a damp feel and smell. There is high humidity in the cave, the air conditioner is noisy and in only one bedroom, air circulation (ventilation) is poor and natural light is limited (comes with living in a cave I guess), some of the ceilings and doorways are low so we bumped our heads a few times. There is a bit of dust that falls from the ceilings but is no issue unless you have asthma. OVERALL We enjoyed our 5 night stay and we recommend the cave. Its a beautiful part of France :-)

Very nice stay. Unique home as pictured, the location was wonderful just steps from the main square, and we very much enjoyed exploring charming Fontvieille, including its stores, market (so fun, on Friday morning) and restaurants. Easily accommodated 3 of us with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. Had everything we could ever want to enjoy our stay. Thank you!

The most unique apartment I have ever visited! Our children really enjoyed the large number of toys in their room; that was simply fantastic. The boys also enjoyed the projector with video games. There was plenty of room for our party and we really liked the central location to Fontvieille, which is a very cute old village.
