Close to Kalamazoo & Richland, w. many options for dining, hiking, skiing, bird watching - or just relaxing. Master suite w. vaulted ceiling, large walk-in shower & access to upper deck. Main floor bath w. deep soaking tub. Well equipped kitchen open to dining area & second living room. Main living room overlooking the lake, w. smart tv & sound system. Lower level 2nd bedroom.

The space
Gorgeous custom kitchen, fully equipped, with adjacent dining area, which seats 6 around the hand-built table. Master bedroom has en-suite bathroom w. huge, walk-in shower and access to deck overlooking the lake. Second full bathroom, on main floor, has large soaking tub. Entire home in a private setting with deck, dock, and about 300 feet of lake-frontage. Driveway is shared with the owners.

Special note on directions -- GPS sometimes directs one to go south off G Avenue on 37t st. We are situated +/- one quarter mile north of G Avenue

The cabin is situated in an almost totally private setting, on a small lake close to the village of Richland, 15 minutes from downtown Kalamazoo. There are several excellent local restaurants & the cabin is also close to The Gilmore Car Museum, The Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, Gull Lake, and Fort Custer State Recreation Area, with miles of hiking & biking trails.

It is fun sharing our cabin! Herm, my husband, spent years hand-crafting it. He designed it to fit the beautiful landscape, using dead ash trees from a near-by forest. I now also help host a small house in town, artfully renovated by my son, Thomas. It too is a unique & inspired place. We love art, music, good food & interesting travel experiences. We also enjoy watching the birds & wildlife that inhabit our island: Sandhill Cranes, swans & geese, beavers & an occasional coyote. We swim, kayak & canoe in the lake.
