Loved our stay! Perfectly sized for us (2 adults and 3 large dogs). Everything we needed was within reach- and the welcome wine was a lovely touch. Garden was beautiful and easy to share with Alfie the very friendly poodle- even with my dogs who can be a bit grumpy at times. Self contained garden with two gates made this really easy. Loved the Juliet balcony and stable doors too- perfect for sunny days. Wifi and smart TV fantastic too.

A lovely cosy barn in a quiet picturesque village, with lots of local amenities and walks across the countryside. I nice base for those wanting to explore West Somerset and the north of Devon. We instantly felt at home. Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommended. Would go back again.

Very compact but lovely little apartment. The cooking facilities are quite limited (a twin halogen hob and a microwave) but there are two local pubs within easy walking distance - we chose the Letheridge Arms which offered reasonable pub grub, if nothing spectacular. If you do choose to cook, there's a small Co-op no more than 200m away in case you've forgotten anything. The shower is very good and the bed comfortable; do be aware that it's two singles hooked together to make a very roomy double, though do make sure that the hooks are engaged before becoming too adventurous! Caroline and John are charming, as is their lovely poodle Alfie; we enjoyed our brief stay very much!

A couple of small bottles of wine on our arrival was a nice touch. We found the (quite small) cottage comfortable and cosy, the bed was excellent. We didn't actually see our hosts all week, but I did communicate with them when the loo seat came off! A nice little garden outside, but unfortunately the weather was so Arctic that we didn't get a chance to make use of it. Getting in and out of the parking space was a bit tight, but no accidents. Bishop's Lydeard is a busy little village, very pretty. As a base from which to explore the Quantocks and Exmoor it is well positioned. We went walking every day, exploring an unfamiliar region to us, with some fabulous high views over the Bristol Channel and over to South Wales. All in all a comfortable stay, and we loved the area.
