The space

It is home for endemic and endangered species of birds, migratory whales, resident dolphins, kinkajous, poisonous frogs and much more. The best spot to jump into a boat and look for dolphins (ask Costa Rican biologists!). Golfo Dulce is world known as one of the four tropical fjords in the globe! Within easy access by boat to incredible views of Piedras Blancas National Park and Islas Mogos, and just a few paddles away from the beautiful mangroves of the Rincon river. If you want to explore the Osa Peninsula, this is your strategic stop! Convenientely located near the intersection between La Palma (10 km) and Drake (28km), you can easily reach different entry points of Corcovado National Park. Also, Puerto Jimenez is just a short drive away.
If you want an authentic experience of how the Osa truly is, our local hosts Doña Azucena and Don Jorge will make you feel home in Golfo Dulce.

Rincon de Osa is a small town in the Osa Peninsula overlooking the Golfo Dulce, one of four tropical fjords in the world. Most of the people at Rincon are fishermen, farmers, cattle ranchers or work on tourism-related activities. This town is calm, relaxed and thus constitutes a perfect destination to escape from the city and enjoy a wonderful time in rural Costa Rica.
Rincon is surrounded by lush green hills covered by tropical rainforest on one side, and mangrove forest towards the coast. Meanwhile, the Rincon river baths its southern part, inviting visitors to grab a kayak to explore the mirror-like waters of the gulf, home of dolphins and humpback whales.
