Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Teewah Beach is one of the most spectacular beaches in SE Queensland, about 40km of beautiful beach and clean sand to the dunes. Teewah Village is just 5km up the beach from the third cutting (and 8km from the Noosa River mouth) - north along the beach from Teewah Village is Double Island Point, then Rainbow Beach.
Teewah Beach Hideaway is a retro (block) beach house, comfortable, well fitted out, perfect for a real no-hassle getaway experience of the beach, BBQs, fishing, walks and relaxing.

The space
Beachside Teewah Village is a small nest of houses 8km up the beach from the mouth of the Noosa River, situated between pristine ocean and the Cooloola Recreation Area section of the Great Sandy National Park. The Coloured Sands are situated a short drive north along the beach towards Double Island Point.
The story goes that Teewah Beach Hideaway started as a weekender when the village was set up to move squatters from along the ~40km stretch of beach to a single area.
Over the years, the three owners of Hideaway have all added and changed the building so that now it comprises two separate buildings, joined by an undercover outside living area. The northern side has the lounge, kitchen, bedroom (2 singles), shower and toilet - the latter are accessible also from an external door. The southern side has the main bedroom, shared bathroom, laundry and second bedroom with two double bunks (lower beds are double). The house is suitable for 6 adults and the bedding layout can cater for 2 children.
The undercover area has a large round table and chairs for eight people and is the perfect place for eating together, playing games or just socialising.

I retired to Noosaville nearly five years ago from a farm to the west, although I can't quite leave it behind and have a few Senepol cows on a small farm north of Tewantin. My working experience was mainly in marine science administration and now to have such access to the beach is wonderful. I like to travel but prefer adventure type trips rather than cruise type travel. I have participated in quite a few overseas SCUBA trips with a group of friends, and a memorable trip was flying around Australia in a twin-engine Baron with three friends - a great trip and highly recommended - especially in NW Australia to avoid the dust but still experience the Kimberley areas. Teewah Hideaway, which I have had since 2004, is a special place and I love its casual atmosphere, the beach, the walks and the fishing opportunities and spend as much time there as I can.
