Relaxing retreat in Matlock, Manitoba on southwest shore of Lake Winnipeg. Fully furnished, two-bedroom cabin, sleeps 3-4. Located on pristine 45-acre nature preserve, with paths through tall grass prairie, meadow, forest, wetland, ponds, meditative labyrinth, land art, and more. Two-minute walk to main beach, restaurant, store and sports courts. Year round activities include swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, biking, birding, ice fishing, snowshoeing, skiing, skating, snowmobiling, sledding.

The space
Cabin is tucked away on a beautiful 45-acres nature preserve and is right next to the town of Matlock where there are lots of amenities including spectacular beaches on the southwest shore of Lake Winnipeg. There's plenty of room to park your vehicles, snow machines, boats and other toys right next to the cabin. Lake access by vehicle, snowmobile or boat is just a minute away. Use our deep fryer and barbecue with supplied propane on the giant wrap-around deck. Nature preserve with ponds, forests, meadows, land art, labyrinth and more, offers awesome outdoor experience. The cabin has all the amenities you will need in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. There is a very comfortable double bed in the main bedroom, a large fold out bed in the living room, and a bunk bed in the spare bedroom that has two small comfortable mattresses that are suitable for people who are under 6 feet tall.

Matlock is a small, cozy and quiet community. With just a few hundred year-round residents, it is a peaceful getaway throughout the year. During the summer, the Matlock Pond Cabin is tucked away from the busier seasonal cottages, providing privacy and peace. Yet, attractions and amenities are easily accessed; 2-minute walk to the main beach, restaurant, corner store and sports courts. For further services including groceries, wide variety of restaurants, shopping, and much more; the larger town of Gimli is a 20 minute drive north. As well as the small town of Winnipeg Beach which also has many tourist attractions and services, just 10 minutes north of Matlock (on route to Gimli).
