The location was incredible, close to the T, and near everything we could want from groceries and restaurants. The house was more like a bed and breakfast than a simple rental. I honestly couldn't have asked for more. From being able to call because we were locked out, to having a great maid service every week, and even the little touches like having food and wine when we got there so we didn't have to scramble to load up on groceries when we just got in. This is by far my best experience with AirBNB.

Very nice place. Can be hot in the summer but all the rooms have ceiling fans. Convenient location off green line and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. ATM and post office just a block away. Groceries and Trader Joes are a pleasant 10-15min walk. Great place to share with family or friends, especially if you need four separate rooms.

Phenomenal service with a very gracious host. This isn't your typical stay - it's more like a hotel in that there is a very thorough cleaner who comes once a week, and a very responsive and wonderful host who will get back to you asap if you have any questions. Btw, the pics don't do the Cozy Cottage justice, it's much cuter and nicer, on an adorable, tree-lined street close to many parks and great restaurants.

I stayed at Charles's cozy cottage in Brooklyn Village for 3 1/2 months with four other people during our final semester of life in Boston. Being with four people in total we each got our own perfect little room, each had its own wonderful little unique perks and we would not have traded our life in the cottage for anything at all. I stayed in the room on the ground level floor in the front of the house which had its own perfect little perk of an entire wall of windows and had the most natural light. This room had a wonderfully large Queen size mattress as well as a couch pushed into the window nook so in the warmer days I could lay there and read and or work on my own computer. There were countless amounts of power outlets in this front room and even though it is right next to the main living room, it is extremely quiet and peaceful if people are hanging out in the living room at night. The kitchen of the house was definitely large enough for four people to navigate all at the same time. All of the appliances were brand-new and restaurant quality, the sink of the house was beautiful and made straight out of stone. The fridge was definitely large enough for all four of us, each by our own groceries, and we even had a fully stocked fridge when we arrived full of all fresh products that Charles had purchased for us. Charles was a beyond perfect host, one of the best post I've ever been able to stay with during all of my travels in AirBnB's around the world. He was incredibly responsive, very respectful, very informative, and even gave us a few gifts upon our departure (something that I've never had any other host even offer during many Airbnb experiences). Whenever something broke and water was axing faulty, I would send Charles a quick message on the AirBnB Messenger and he wouldn't respond within a few hours and or even have somebody just swing by the house later that day to fix whatever was needed to be done. Next-door neighbor to the cottage is also very good friends with Charles and whenever we had little questions about the neighborhood we could always just pop over and speak to our helpful neighbors. I would recommend this home to anybody and I would most definitely stay there again. A quick review by one of my other roommates - "Cozy cottage was a place that felt like a true home, and not just a temporary lodging for a semester. I always knew it would be a clean, beautiful place in a wonderful neighborhood full of delightful people, and I was always eager to come home to such a great place. Everybody in charge of managing the place were absolutely accommodating to the extreme, they made me feel like a wanted guest and they really turned what could have been a...

My wife, two daughters (3 and 5 years old) and I stayed at the cozy cottage for 10 weeks in the summer of 2015. The house has lots of character and with its four bedrooms (one without door, off the kitchen), small living/dining room and kitchen, it provided us with sufficient space for our family and even the occasional guests. We sometimes wished for a little more room to cook or invite friends over. Also, the staircase into the basement was really narrow. But overall, these minor "cons" don't matter much compared to all the "pros". The greatest "pro" certainly is location. We fell in love with Brookline instantly. A lot is already within walking distance and busses and the T (stations are a quick 3 minute walk) got us everywhere else. The kids stayed in a nearby kindergarten (the Little Children Schoolhouse, highly recommended) and many playgrounds and park areas are within a five minute walking distance. Charles was a kind and generous host, who always responded quickly to all our requests and questions (and solved them fast!). The fridge was full with wonderful food when we arrived and throughout our stay, Charles surprised us with generous gifts. This was certainly an exceptional experience. Housekeeping comes once a week. Their service feels almost like in a hotel, which we really appreciated. However, it is important to understand that housekeeping is mandatory. They will come regardless of whether you are in the house or not and even if you explicitly ask them not to come. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Charles was a generous host and the cozy cottage a wonderful home away from home. If you are looking for a house with lots of character in a great location, look no further!

I really don't know where to begin about our stay at Cozy Cottage, we unfortunately were in Boston for medical care and during this difficult time, Charles made our stay so comfortable and relaxing it was incredible. Upon arrival there were an array of artisan cheeses, fresh organic fruit, crackers and other refreshments. The refrigerator was fully and I mean fully stocked. There was organic food in the cabinets for our enjoyment. This was not just a matter of loading up with food, each and every item was carefully selected with care and concern for our comfort. The decor of the cottage was simply divine--clean and simple. The linens were immaculate. Each room has total privacy and while the cottage is very cozy, you certainly feel like you have your own space in each room. In each room there were wonderfully scented candles burning and fresh flowers. Again no detail missed by Charles. The neighborhood was fantastic, just a short trip to downtown Boston, but you felt like you were in an adorable village, very quiet street and safe neighborhood. Charles organized a parking pass for us within an hour of me inquiring about it. I have stayed at hundreds of homes across the world, I travel for a living and never in all my travels have I had such an experience. Charles does not just go through the motions to impress his guests, his heartfelt actions go above and beyond what anyone could imagine. If I had a question, it was answered immediately in detail. He is genuinely concerned and committed to the comfort and well being of his guests while they are staying in his divine little cottage. You will leave Cozy Cottage missing the love and kindness Charles generously extends to his guests.

This is the most amazing place to stay! My colleagues and I (four of us in total) spent a week at a conference in Boston and had the immense pleasure of staying at Cosy Cottage. Luckily, all of the hotels in the area were either fully booked or extremely overpriced which is how we were fortunate enough to find Cosy Cottage. The home and the host surpassed our expectations in every way. Charles was always available, extremely helpful and very discreet, not at all obtrusive. He also must be one of the most generous people in the world. No exaggeration. As other guests had mentioned, we were welcomed with cheeses, fresh fruit, and wine. The refrigerator and cupboards were stocked with high-quality breakfast goodies and other treats which we thoroughly enjoyed at the end of long days at the conference. Cosy Cottage itself is a lovely, inviting, peaceful place, full of natural light. With 4 large bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, we had plenty of space for all of us and it never felt cramped. Each bedroom has its own special advantage too. I stayed in the charming loft bedroom above the kitchen. The cottage is immaculate and full of amenities (toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.) that are both excellent quality and environmentally friendly! On a quaint and quiet street just off of Harvard Street, we had all of the benefits of wonderful Brookline Village within easy reach. I went running in the beautiful residential neighborhood of colorful Victorian houses and by a park perfect for kids that was right around the corner. I had a suit dry cleaned and got a pedicure one block away on Harvard Street. There are numerous pubs, restaurants and coffee shops serving every kind of food and drink all along the 10-minute walk to Coolidge Corner. (I highly recommend Matt Murphy's Restaurant for wonderful food, service and atmosphere!) There are supermarkets and drug stores minutes away too. And, of particular importance for us, the nearest metro (T) stop was a 5-minute walk from Cosy Cottage. We took the T to the Boston Convention Center everyday with no problems at all. All in all it was an absolutely wonderful experience and we have been recommending Cosy Cottage to everyone we know! I lived in Boston for many years before moving to Europe and Charles and his charming Cosy Cottage not only made this trip a lovely homecoming for me, it also made me extremely pleased and proud to know how much my European colleagues enjoyed their first trip to Boston in great part due to the happy experience of staying here. Thank you, Charles!!!!!
