Quaint cabin secluded by a small lake lovely 1.5 acre garden down quiet lane at the foot of Chiltern Hills. Your view from the veranda is across the lake to pasture parkland. We are a farming family and your neighbours are a young donkey and mum, few friendly sheep, and who-ever needs a special eye during lambing season. Take Interesting walks in the Chilterns, visit Turville, Vicar of Dibley village, and we are close to the Ridgeway Trail, Oxford, and Thame.

Chinnor, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom

Kingston Blount is a small village at the foot of the Chilterns, in rural Oxfordshire OX39 4RZ.
We are down a lane with no passing traffic.
Sadly our close local walkable pub has now closed and it is a daytime cafe instead.
The nearest pub/restaurant is in Sydenham, The Crown. This is walkable but 2 miles away.
Many more great pubs just a short drive away.
We provide a local path map, with paths leaving from the cabin.
We are the only farm in the village and Jim's family have farmed here for 150 years. So I think we're classed as local.

We are a working farm and I'm the farmers wife, but I don't" cut off their tails with a carving knife" Jim and I have been married for more years than I care to remember. The farm is now run by our son and we are very busy around March/April lambing 600 ewes. Then it's haymaking, silage and harvest etc. I'm a very keen gardener and we have a large garden which we open to the NGS in June. A few years ago I was very privileged to show my garden on BBC 2 Gardeners World in the days of Alan Titchmarsh. I like to dress smartly but then there are the days in the garden, where I look a whole lot different!! I enjoy welcoming guests from all over the world and because we only have the one cabin I usually have time for a chat finding out about them, and them me. BUT ONLY IF YOU WANT TO. My daughter has a local dress agency, where I enjoy helping her out. Another reason for me to dress up. So hope to meet you soon Theresa
