The space
A single room with a comfy memory foam bed for a blissful night’s sleep.
Located in a historic building, in the heart of Doune a traditional Scottish village. You will be staying in one of the original historic cottages. No two are the same.
Ideally located for exploring Scotland. Stirling 15 mins, Bridge of Allan 10 mins, Dunblane 7 mins, Glasgow - 40 mins, Edinburgh 60 mins.
The bedroom is up one flight of stairs.
Shared bathroom with electric shower and bath.

Breakfast is served downstairs on the ground level. Full Scottish, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Doune is a small village where 'everyone knows your name'. You have everything on your doorstep.

We are in a rural location but with all the modern amenities. Restaurants tend to close early around 20:00. The bus is convenient if you need it.
Things to do:
- Medieval Doune castle with circular riverside walk ideal for picnics. Now famous for the Outlander TV series. Parking onsite but in walking distance.
- Deanston Distillery (15 mins walk) with cafe next door
- Scottish Antique and Arts Centre - voted best in the UK twice – with eatery.
- Blairdrummond Safari Park (lions, elephant, giraffe, tigers) open March – October.
- Briarlands Farm (family friendly)
- Argaty Red Kite Feeding Centre
Two convenience grocers, a library, a bustling cafe, charming tea room, deli, a designer clothes boutique, crafts, medieval castle, choice of two pubs serving food, a visitor centre, bowling club, rural hall (for special occasions), several walks around the ponds and through woods and along the old railway line.

Snow days - sledging on the farm hills
8 miles north on the Trossachs trail is the popular town of Callander. 4 miles away is Dunblane, home of Wimbledon Champion Andy Murray. Dunblane has a cathedral neighboured by Tappit Hen serving guest ales. A fabulous kids park sit on a hill above the river with a skate / bike park for the more adventurous.
The City of Stirling is 8 miles away and offers big brand and independent shopping and of course, rich history. Interested in history and castles? Make use of the Explorer pass and save money.
Bridge of Allan is easy to explore on foot with boutiques and restaurants at the one end, and Wallace Monument on the other.
