Nestled in the idyllic mountainside above the island port of Gavrio this stunning villa enjoys beautiful views down into the valley and across the Aegean Sea. With a rustic charm in the traditional stone built style of the island, it's set among beautiful gardens with olive and fruit trees, lush vegetation and colourful flowers.
Main house with 2 double bedrooms and self-contained annex with 1 double bedroom. Swimming pool and an al fresco dining terrace.
Beaches a short drive from the house.

The space
The natural amphitheatre that makes up the hillsides surrounding the small Greek port of Gavrio is the setting for Villa Ursandoli. Drive up through some winding country lanes lined with wild fig trees and sage bushes, pass the old Greek Orthodox church of Ano Gavrio, round a few more twisty bends in the road.. and you arrive.. Shaded and surrounded by a terraced Mediterranean garden, the 2 main buildings - built in traditional style in 2005 - make up this delightful property, and are separated by a pool and alfresco dining area. From this vantage point, look south toward the azure blue of the Agean or north at the wild mountainside. At night, just look up and spot the Milky Way!

The main house with its large open plan living space, including a sofa-bed, fireplace arch and cool stone tiling, together with kitchen area and adjoining dining space. And on the other side of the pool, the 'spitaki' meaning 'Little House' in Greek - a 1 bedroom self-contained apartment with its own entrance, shower room and kitchen/living area and private balcony. There are also a couple of camp beds for children if needed.

Where you’ll be

Gavrio, Greece

Andros is a rare gem in the Aegean, 2 hours by ferry from Athens, an incredibly special and beautiful Cycladic Greek island relatively untouched by package tourism. Its rugged mountainous interior, lush and varied scenery, with fertile valleys and emerald coastline means you can experience a family adventure or relaxing beach holiday – or as we prefer, a bit of both. The food reflects the landscape with locally reared meat from the mountains or fresh seafood straight from the boat. Gavrio provides a wide range of shops selling local produce, a small supermarket as well as tavernas (restaurants), bars and cafes most of which look out over the picturesque harbour.

Local Beaches -
There is a great selection of local beaches a short drive from the house. These beaches are great for children as they provide warm and shallow waters. The variety of beaches ranges from secluded bays with good snorkelling to golden strips with sunbeds, beach bars and watersports.
