Andreas is such a lovely host. He met us from the ferry, gave us a welcome hamper and was quick to answer any questions we had about the area and house. This villa is good value for Paxos which is the loveliest island. His wife even baked us a cake. Definitely recommend.

The first thing arriving at the villa is the most amazing view! The outdoor area/pool have been positioned to give a panoramic view down to Gaios, over the harbour and straight out to sea and mainland Greece. The villa both inside and outside are lovely and very well equipped. The beds are extremely comfortable and the lovely lady who comes nearly every day looked after us very well with frequent linen/towel changes. Once you are settled in, if you don't (yet!) have a car - you will quickly notice the steep hill to the villa - there is a price to pay for that wonderful view! It is perfectly walkable, both up and down (you will need a torch for the night time - unless the fireflies light your way) but I would imagine that in the full heat of the summer it could sometimes be difficult. We enjoyed a week without a car but decided to get one for the next 11 days. Take Andreas's recommendation of where to hire one. You have to tear yourself away from the villa anyway - the ambience is perfect day and night and sitting outside with a black starry sky is heaven. I would totally recommend staying at Lilac Lillium - we also looked at the villa next door (also owned by Andreas) which is slightly bigger and equally wonderful.

Andreas was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. He was very helpful in providing information in the lead up to our stay (on top of being quick to respond) and once we arrived, sent us a number of recommendations to help make our trip enjoyable. The villa itself is really lovely - particularly the pool area and the views, it truly is a little piece of paradise. Thank you Andreas!

I have just returned from staying at Lilac Lilium Villa for a week with my family which included 2 small babies. Everything about the villa is superb & even better in person than shown in the photographs, & as expected, the view is spectacular. The housekeeper, Plami, did a wonderful job in keeping the villa spotless during the week. The villa is located in the hillside, about 10 - 15 minutes' walk down a very steep track from the main town of Gaios. Although very steep, we found the track manageable on foot even with 2 babies in pushchairs. Coming back up the hill is not so easy, so if you don't have a car, a taxi is probably the best option which costs 7 Euros from town. We hired a car for a couple of days to see the rest of the island, but there's a bus service which provides a service to Lakka for just 5 Euros return. Things not to miss would include taking a boat trip to Anti Paxos (just 10 Euros return from the harbour front in Gaios) which has a spectacular beach perfect for children & an excellent taverna situated directly on the beach to the left. The owner, Andreas was also particularly helpful in dealing with all our questions in the lead up to our stay. To summarise, I have no hesitation in recommending Lilac Lilium if you're looking to stay on the beautiful island of Paxos.

Andreas was excellent from start to finish with great communications throughout. We were met from the port and taken to the villa, which is even better than the pictures. It's very well laid out, has everything you'd need and was very well serviced thorough the week. Gaios is a short 10-15 min walk away (though a steep walk back which we didn't mind- it walked off our food!) and has a brilliant choice of places to eat, bakeries and a couple of supermarkets. The supermarket at the bottom of the hill will deliver for free if, like us, you don't hire a car. All in all- highly recommended!

The villa is a great place to relax, enjoying the wonderful view and fine hospitality of the Owner Andreas. The place combines a contemporary decoration with the traditional classic stone house of the island. The perfect place to unwind and enjoy the idyllic island of Paxos.
