The space
“The Nest” offers guests a clean, quiet, and comfortable space to relax and recharge while enjoying the natural beauty of Acadia. Light fills the 2017 constructed, attractively furnished apartment. Thoughtfully appointed queen bedroom set with drawers, nightstands and large closet. Living room features roomy sofa, rocker, flat screen tv, books, and games. Kitchen includes full-size refrigerator, large and surprisingly capable Wolf counter-convection oven and a full-size microwave oven. Also included is a toaster and automatic coffee maker in a bright and efficiently stocked kitchen. There is no cooktop. Private bathroom highlights sparkling fixtures, walk-in shower and fresh linens. Wireless internet on site. AT&T cell phone service area; landline in unit.

“The Nest” has its own keyed entrance just off the garage of our contemporary home. It has its own parking area close to its private entry.

Other things to note
My husband Stephen and his family grew up camping their summers on MDI, and to be able to build a home on the island is a long-time dream come true. Our airbnb profile picture captures the exact spot where we eventually built our new home. Having finished construction of “The Notch” in November 2017, we've enjoyed our days exploring the island, the park, and the beauty of our new natural surroundings. We've also welcomed the opportunity to share our guest space, “The Nest” with new friends. We are not quite yet retired and have two adult children who live out of state. We have met all requirements of Bar Harbor vacation rental regulations and are securely licensed.
