Interaction with guests
Mary and Kevin reside two floors below The Nook and respect the privacy of guests. Call, text, or knock on the sliding glass door if you need anything. We are happy to make recommendations for hikes, walks, road biking, x-c ski and snowshoeing treks. Also, check the guidebook via this site where we have noted some recommendations. We provide provide a book with suggestions and brochures in The Nook as well.
Other things to note
Weekday guests are welcome to attend, at no extra charge, regular scheduled yoga, stretch, meditation and tai chi classes. Classes are not scheduled on weekends as The Studio is also available to rent on Airbnb. Massage, Reiki, Sound Meditation and BioMat sessions are available on site by appointment.
Guests best suited for The Nook will appreciate the quiet nature of the facility, that there is a shoes off policy, no smoking is permitted in or on the premises, and although we love pets we are unable to accommodate them.
We must ask that you do not bring / use personal cooking appliances such as electric skillets, grills, burners, etc. or a coffee press. A micro-wave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, and mini-frig are provided.
There is a small claw foot slipper tub that is for ONE person only. Care must be taken when using it. The fiberglass tub's capacity is for a person up to 170 lbs. The hot water facet turns off in the opposite direction than is normal, and the slanted ceiling above it can be tricky when getting out. A stand up shower is available in the bathroom directly down the stairs and to the left.
Check-in is 4 PM (most times earlier - text us), and check-out is 11 AM.

We love living in the Adirondack Mountains! We are active year-round in the out doors and especially like to hike, road bike, paddle, x-c ski, and snow shoe. We are foodies so enjoy our weekend date nights going out to dinner, even after being married 29 years. We share things to do and places to go with our guests if asked otherwise we allow our guests their privacy. Book The Nook, we are happy hosts.
