West Woodside is a detached cottage set in a woodland meadow. It is a great place to relax and enjoy walks in the woods and the perfect base to explore everything Royal Deeside and the Cairngorm National Park has to offer. The cottage is also the perfect location for wildlife spotting so expect sightings of red squirrels on the feeders in front of the cottage and deer and rabbits in the meadow.

The space
The cottage has two bedrooms and is the perfect space for four people, however there is a comfortable double sofa bed in the living room that can accommodate a further two people.

The cottage has an open plan living and kitchen area. Logs and kindling are provided for the wood burning stove in the living room. As well as the wood burning stove there are electric heaters in the living room, bedrooms and conservatory to keep the cottage cosy.

The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils and crockery etc and there is a dishwasher, under-counter fridge with ice box, microwave and a washing machine in the cupboard. The water is heated by an emersion system and the bathroom has a bath and an electric shower.

There is a patio at the cottage with a picnic bench, BBQ and chiminea so you can enjoy the outdoor space and the meadow is perfect for the kids to play. Dogs are welcome by arrangement and horses can sometimes be accommodated locally.

There are no fences at the cottage which backs onto the forest so the whole Cairngorm National Park is yours to explore! Details on the best paths and walks and what's on in the area and is provided.

The cottage is in a rural setting and is accessed by a track road. The nearest amenities are four miles away in the village of Tarland where there are a few shop and two places to eat.
