A truly unique property.
"Son Alegre" is a 200 year old finca that has been converted into a absolutely charming 4 bedroom house with pool near the historic Calvario steps. It is situated at the top of a private 5000m2 garden with a stunning view overlooking the village of Pollensa and the sea. Very calm, yet a 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants.
The house, decorated in a traditional mallorquin style, overlooks a 5000m2 mediterranean garden. It is a very comfortable 4 bedroom, 4 bath room house ( 2 master bed rooms equipped with kingsize beds and en suite bath rooms, 2 additional bed rooms with twin beds), a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, a living room with a fireplace and a small sitting room. The house benefits from a number of terraces so that one can always find a quite place to read. In addition, there is a beautiful pool with its own terrace. There is ample private parking.
The house has a stunning view overlooking the town of Pollenca, the sea, the mountains of the Sierra de la Tramuntana and the monastery on top of the Puig Maria.
A very important element of the property is the fact that one can walk to the center (lots of shops, restaurants and the famous sunday market) of Pollensa in approximately five minutes.
Cable TV, wifi, excellent 4G cell phone coverage,barbecue, pool and parking.
Maid service and/or cooking are available for an extra charge.
Guests have access to the whole house and garden. There is no sharing of these areas with others.
It is IMPORTANT to note that the pool is close to the house. All children should be monitored at all time. Children security is the responsibility of the parents.
Interaction with guests
None, usually we are not present but we can be contacted by mail or phone. However, we have a local house keeper who is responsible for assuring that the house is in perfect condition for our guests.
Other things to note
There is a detailed "House Book" with information regarding, heat, the kitchen equipment, etc. Air conditioning is available in two of the bedrooms; electricity is quite expensive in Spain so it is important to manage the use of the air conditioning carefully (windows and doors closed). Any excessive use will be charged additionally.
Water is also quite precious, so please do not waste it. The water is drinkable although we tend to drink bottled water.
For winter rentals there will be an agreed upon charge for fuel consumption.
If you stay longer than a week, there is an extra 50 euros weekly cleaning fee ( clean sheets, towels, etc) payable on site.
The house is occupied by the owner for a number of months every year so there are personal items in the house (photos, some paintings, for example) therefore in a general sense please treat the house as if it was your home.
Please do not throw items into the pool.
With respect to the patio/terraces furniture , please be sure that the cushions do not get wet from either bathing suits or rain.
