Knotty pine walls and a working wood burning fireplace reminds you of Cape Cod vacations from days past. The cottage is 350 steps from the top of the dune that leads down to the water at LeCount Hollow Beach at Maguire's Landing. Cell phone service here is not good so the cottage has a land-line telephone with free nationwide long distance calling. Free Wi-Fi Internet access but no distracting TV. You are in the Cape Cod National Seashore, walk down to the beach anytime you wish!

The space
When the roof deck was built in 1950, there was a great ocean view and the cottage was named accordingly. Since then, the trees have grown and we are unable to trim trees in the National Park so the best we can now say is that there is an "ocean glimpse" through the trees from the roof deck. Still, it's a nice place to sit in the sun, read or have a glass of wine.
This is a housekeeping cottage and you are expected to "keep house." There is no food service but you have a full kitchen. There is no cleaning fee charged but you are expected to clean up after yourself. This cottage is rented without sheets, pillowcases and towels and most renters bring their own. They are available for rent for an additional fee of $20.00 per person, per stay with advance notification.
Listing prices do not include Massachusetts' new occupancy tax on vacation rentals. Please arrive prepared to pay the additional 12.45% tax by cash or check only.

Guest access
Guest coin-op laundry on premises.

Other things to note
We ask you to telephone us using the phone in the cottage when you arrive.
Our phone number will be on the first page of the ring binder on the table in Ocean View cottage. Cell phone service here is spotty at best since there are no cell towers in the National Park.
