Cottage #4 was a perfect stay for us. The kids loved the lake, my wife and I loved the peaceful surroundings. The weather did not cooperate the entire stay, but we still got to go canoeing, skip rocks on the lake and enjoy the fall foliage. Rose and Bruce are wonderful hosts. They know the area very well and can give you great activity suggestions. It was a pleasure meeting them and talking with them. I hope we can visit again next year. Oh, and the swimming is just fine in early October. Thank you, Rose and Bruce!

The cottage was quaint and cozy. It came with all the necessities and the amenities were a nice surprise! My family and I had a lot of fun using the canoes. Rose and Bruce were very knowledgeable about great hiking trails and even suggested a great waterfall to stop at on the way back home. Locals were very friendly. It's a great area to go if you're looking to unwind and unplug from the rest of the world.

It was awesome to be able to take Kayaks or canoes out anytime we liked. There were plenty of life vest to choose. The other side of the lake is not populated and ready to explore. The gardens looked and smelled wonderful. The little private beach was very nice for swimming or having a cup of tea in one of the chairs in the morning. We were there at a lull in the season so the other cabins were mostly empty, it was very private. I would imagine if all the cabins were full it would not have felt as private. The Burke's were great hosts.

Had a very nice time here with 2 adults, and 3 kids. The little private beach was perfect and there were kayaks and canoes for us to use. It's just a short 4 mile drive down the road to get decent cell service and a corner store. Great trip!

The Burke Cottages offer great access to Indian lake and have Indian Lake Marina right next door and Dunn Boat rental who can deliver boats for 3+ day rentals. The screened porch was fantastic and we spent all of our evenings out there along with morning tea! We were in unit 4, which allows dogs and there were definite animal smells in the main room and the carpet was damp along with the pull out couch. The mattresses / cover pads are all old. You do have to bring your own sheets and towels, which were not in the listing at the time we booked. Bruce, the host, was awesome. He gave great advice for things to do in the area and communication was excellent. He was there when we needed him and gave us all the privacy we wanted! Overall, the experience was very good.

We had a lovely family vacation over the July 4th holiday here. Very quiet area, secluded with walking distance beach access and busy marina close by. The cottage was comfortable for 4 adults and two young children. Bruce was very kind to lend us a spare sheet set, we had not seen mention of needing to bring our own linen on this listing. The best part of this spot is being dog friendly, the whole family had a blast only wishing for more time to spend here.

Bruce and Rose were very friendly and had a lot of good ideas for hiking and adventures. Loved the cabin, it was just what we needed and the canoes and kayaks were a definite bonus. Would stay again!

My husband and I were born on Long Island, NY. and vacationed in the Adirondacks since we were young. Rose is retired now and Bruce & I are now in the hospitality field - renting vacation rental cottages on Indian Lake in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. Bruce loves to garden and the property is loaded with lovely perennial gardens as well as ancient, towering pines. Rose loves to cook, bake and read mysteries and Westerns (love Louis LaMour). We both enjoy the peace and serenity of this wilderness area and love to share all that we know with our guests... the many and varied activities they might enjoy while here...swimming, hiking, boating, movie theater, golfing, fine restaurants, our local general store - even downhill skiing, ice skating, snow mobiling - the list goes on and on...Come....relax....enjoy!
