Comfortable and inviting, my house is located within walking distance of downtown, yet with a country feel. Your bedroom with a double bed and bathroom are private, clean and pleasant.
NB: my dog Kita is always with me in the house.

Guest access

Share a continental breakfast in the dining room; watch the news or a movie in the comfort of the living room; or just relax on the deck in the privacy of the backyard, with a book, a glass of wine and the sounds of nature.
Musician guests: please feel free to play the piano, or bring your own instrument if you like chamber music.

Interaction with guests

Other things to note

Sebastopol is about one hour north of San Francisco and 30 minutes from the Pacific Ocean to the west. Modest in size (fewer than 8,000 people), the town is very progressive and also has that small-town charm, a combination of international consciousness and sophisticated country feeling. Enjoy fine dining, wine tasting, all manner of fine arts and exhibits, poetry readings, crafts by local artisans - all within walking distance from my house.
In summary, you'll find Sebastopol to be eclectic, artistic and holistic.
Beyond Sebastopol, explore the rest of "West County", as locals refer to this part of Sonoma County: pamper yourself at Osmosis Spa, kayak at Bodega Bay, enjoy more wine tasting, visit an organic/family farm, see the small villages throughout the area with their own unique character.
Do not miss a drive north along the coast from Bodega to Jenner and return via Duncans Mills, Guerneville, Forestville and back to charming Sebastopol. A side trip to Occidental is most enjoyable.

To the east: make a trip to the famous Alexander Valley and Sonoma Valley - a memory in the making, with beautiful country and numerous wineries.

It was such a pleasure to stay with Nina. She was the most welcoming of hosts, offering us tea on our late arrival and a delicious homemade breakfast in the morning. Her house was easy to get to in a lovely quiet setting in Sebastopol. I would highly recommend staying with her.

Sebastopol is a wonderful place and Nina is an equally wonderful host. She made me feel most welcome in her home, and I'd definitely stay with her again if in the area.

Nina is a gracious hostess. She always had everything you could want. Coffee and tea ready in the mornings. Fresh baked scones, so tasty. Her dog is a loving, kind soul. Such a cool dog.

Nina was fantastic. Sweet and accommodating. Nina put out a lovely breakfast and met me with coffee early. I was in town to do a 100 mile ride and Nina was the perfect host!

Nina, as expected was a terrific host to spend a weekend with in Sebastapol. She was friendly, accommodating and most importantly treated us with terrific scones and coffee in the morning. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Nina's home is warm and inviting. She and her delightful dog, Kita, make the visit joyful. Everything is neat and tidy. Nina kindly shared her deck overlooking a lovely backyard and also her living room with us. She is willing to have conversation and also to leave guests to themselves as preferred. The house is a short 15 minute walk to town, and it is also possible to drive and park in the town center. Sebastopol is a gem to visit and Nina makes terrific recommendations for sight seeing, shopping and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk at Laguna Wetlands as well as our visits along the coast to Bodega Bay and Jenner. A fresh, light breakfast with excellent coffee is offered - again so thoughtful.

Everything about Nina's is exceptional. The house is clean and, while within an easy walk of the center of town, still quiet with kind and friendly neighbors. Nina is a great host- she openly shares her house, but fully respects her guests' privacy. Nina gladly shares her knowledge of the area, making great recommendations when asked. She has the rare ability to sit and chat when her guests want to chat and to quietly disappear into her space when her guest seems to want private time. I really can't imagine a more perfect host! Note: Nina does have a large, friendly, long-haired dog. For me this was a plus-Kita makes friends quickly and is well trained. However, if you have an issue with dogs or dog-hairs, you might want a different spot.
