Homestead Hideaway offers you a unique opportunity to rest & relax within a peaceful setting.Located just 15 Miles from Galena, Illinois, our cabins in the woods can be your home away from home while you enjoy Galena,Chestnut Mountain, hiking, wineries, and all the other amenities Jo Daviess County has to offer.

The Gleneagle Suite is our weekend getaway suite. It is a studio style and below another rental.(like a duplex setting)full kitchen, living area, dining area, bathroom & a full size bed

The space
We have two historic cottages located on the property and three separate rentals. The cabins are located on opposite ends of the property. You can enjoy the seven acres of wooded area by hiking or taking your dog for a walk. Whether you are planning a romantic trip to Galena, a golfing trip, a couple’s getaway, a wine lovers weekend, or skiing at Chestnut Mountain during the winter months, Homestead Hideaway will accommodate to your needs.

Guest access
When you stay at Homestead Hideaway, you can simply relax in our cozy rustic cabins, or get out and enjoy everything the area has to offer. At Homestead Hideaway you can expect a tranquil feel and a stress free retreat. The cabins are located in a beautiful rural area where it is perfect to have a cup of coffee or tea in the mornings and enjoy the wildlife. Let our cabins be a rare chance to unplug from the world and help ensure you have a relaxed and secluded stay. We have internet, but we do not have cable TV.

We will have passes available for ACL Nixon beach (15 minute drive) and ACL pool. Open memorial day - labor day. You must speak to host prior to arrival for information. You must have tags and parking passes for these amenities and there is a fee from security deposit IF LOST TAGS
