Just renovated , the place is NICE!, and it's smack in the middle of town which makes it close to everywhere however the sweet backyard garden might make you stay right there.

Renovated with loving attention, this 1881 Victorian building is spacious and comfortable with high ceilings, and new hardwood floors and fresh paint and decor. The place is simply provisioned with easy access to local neighborhoods cafes and parks and public transportation for your San Francisco stay.

John's home is perfectly located for walking and taking public transportation. Good restaurants are within walking distance. We were four women traveling together, and each having our own room was a plus. Would definitely stay there again!

This is a wonderful place to stay. The home is spacious with big bedrooms, comfortable and very walkable. John was a fantastic host, one of the best I've ever had. He was thoughtful, kind, communicative, and accommodating. We were there with two kiddos (3 yo and 1 yo) and were very comfortable. Only hiccup was the stairs, which we had to constantly keep an eye on with a new walker. John bought a gate (which was very thoughtful and generous of him to do!), though we couldn't make it fit. But it was not a big problem. My family and I loved the house and would definitely stay there again.

John was very friendly and extremely helpful. He bought a thermometer and got us a quick appointment with a doctor when my niece had a cold. Overall, a great host and I highly recommend the place.

The pictures shown on the listing are exactly how you see this flat. It is extremely spacious, and the two main bedrooms are huge. It was wonderful to open some of the windows and catch a lovely breeze. There are several bus routes that departs within a block of the flat that will get you to anywhere you want to go in the city and surrounds. Grab a Muni transport pass for unlimited travel on buses/street cars/cable cars. (Separate ticket required for BART). Otherwise a single bus trip will cost you $2.75 and the cable car $7. Uber and Lyft are many and varied. We had to wait no more than 2 minutes for a ride. There are so many things to do, places to eat in San Fran, you will never get bored. It was always lovely to come back to the flat after a day exploring and relax. John lives in the flat dowstairs for easy contact, and he is very friendly and approachable. I would recommend John's flat and would stay there again.

Hi, I'm John! I am a born and raised native San Franciscan and truly love my town especially my garden, but through my many world travels and living abroad for 18 years, I'm an enthusiast of the people and places that make the world so great! I travel around the city nearly everyday to find the perfect something for breakfast and/or lunch and/or dinner!!!, and then there is always my latest art project. Currently it is the fabrication of large ornamental urns. I have lived and worked on my place for the last 26 years and it just gets nicer and nicer, and I know the neighborhood and the greater bay area very well.
