I like to meet my guests on their arrival and escort them into the cottage to show them how things work and to answer any questions they may have, this should only take a few minutes of your time.
For guests that are arriving late I leave the key in a secure key lock and arrange to meet with you the next day at your convenience.

We are situated up country 17 miles from Dunoon on the banks of Loch Striven.
Loch Striven is the Loch in which Barnes Wallis tested the bouncing bomb during WW2. In 2017 a major operation was mounted to lift the bombs which was very exciting, one was lifted and is now stored in the RAF museum.
We are situated deep in the quiet countryside at the end of a single track road with an abundance of wildlife.

A Scottish lady very much involved with clan culture and Scottish history. This cottage has just undergone a complete renovation. It sits on the edge of Loch Striven 17 miles from Dunoon in Argyll. My home is within the grounds where I also host the H.Q. of Clan Lamont Society. 10% discount is given to members of Clan Lamont. The cottage dates fro 1700 and was once a cow shed, it now boasts an original woodburning stove, reclaimed wooden floors new windows and electric heating. Private garden allows you to relax and enjoy the wildlife in abundance. Fishing is available on the loch, lovely country walks with beautiful scenery, a paradise for walkers and artists. Village is just 3 miles which has 2 hotels and a well stocked shop and post office. Various activities in village depending on time of year. This is Clan Lamont country with an abundance of its history available locally. A warm welcome awaits you.
