This apartment is ALL ABOUT THE VIEW! Spectacular mornings with coffee and a book, and evenings with a glass of wine made our trip relaxing. The apartment is as pictured and Ivana was a great hostess who went out of her way to help us secure a private tour, reservations at a restaurant, and transfers to the airport. She always responded immediately to our texts and gave us a great lay of the land upon arrival so that we were immediately comfortable. Visitors should know that the stairs are many, but you have to go UP to get the view! All of Dubrovnik is full of stairs, and frankly the old town parties late into the night; we were very glad to be away from the noise. If you rent within the walls prepare for late night noise. Prepare your self for stairs - if you know that ahead of time you'll be fine, and you will eat so well in town you will need the stair exercise. It is a very quick and charming walk; we found it to be a perfect distance - close enough to go in and out of town more than once a day. My teens were happy to come and go as they pleased and I felt comfortable letting them. You have two options one quick with all stairs, or take the winding street. The air-conditioning was great, but in the evenings the breeze on the hillside was delightful and because you are outside the town and away from the noise you could leave the windows open. Ivana provided essentials that many AirBnB properties just don't do like a welcome bottle of wine - essential - and paper towels, dishwashing detergent, etc. At our second Croatia property we learned that fully equipped kitchen did not mean a coffee maker! Ivana provided one - and starter coffee! The hot tub was clean and in perfect working order - a decadent treat. The apartment is very clean and everything was in good working order. It was quite spacious for the four of us. Each child took their own bedroom and we loved having two bathrooms. Arriving in Dubrovnik can be tricky at first, so ask Ivana about her driver and guide as well. We were perfectly happy not having the cost and hassle of a car while there, it simply wasn't necessary.

We stayed at Ivana's place (my husband, my son and I) and we had a great time there. The apartment is very well located (the photos from the ad say it all!) although it probaly seems further away from the old city center than it really is. It's no more than 5 minutes down some stairs. Dubrovnik is very hilly, but if you use our approach - walking the stairs down and taking a taxi upwards - it works perfectly!... Ivana is a very nice host, with great suggestions for everything- just follow them!

Our stay in Dubrovnik was exceptional. The apartment is exactly as described - it just looks even better in real life! We stayed as a group of 4 and even cooked dinner in the apartment one night and never felt cramped or that we were in each other's way. The location is also amazing (though you must be prepared and able to walk up/down quite a lot of steep steps) and you can get to the old town in under 5 minutes. Ivana was very friendly and the check in was excellent with a number of recommendations provided. She also organised transport to the airport on our way home which was very helpful - she was a wonderful host. I would definitely return if I was back in Dubrovnik.

A memorable and wonderfully enjoyable stay in this apartment. The place was immaculate, the views to die for. Ivana was a wonderful host, who definitely went the extra mile. Also worth getting transfers through Ivana from and to the airport, was cheap and a great service. If you haven't been to Dubrovnik, then I would highly recommend it, history, style wonderful views at every turn. The food was uniformally great, even though it wasn't cheap. Lots of things to do as well, renting a boat for half a day is a great idea, as are trips to the local islands. Only downside is the number of steps around the town, if you are old or infirm then some places may be a bit of a struggle. One final point on the villa, the hot tub - wonderful views over the old town and Lokrum, perfect as you sip a cold glass of wine or beer. Highly recommended.

The views were indeed amazing and the two balcony areas ( one with a great hot tub) were also excellent. Ivana was incredibly helpful and ensured that our arrival and departure were very smooth which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Ivana was a perfect host, very helpful. Villa was great apart from noise of workmen next door, but great location for old town and amenities.

Ivana is an incredible host for this property. Not only did she answer all my many questions prior to our arrival but she checked in with us before getting there to assure that we knew how to find the property and to secure us a parking spot overnight. Additionally, she provided a map of old town and highlighted it with suggestions for dinners. Throughout our stay she responded to texts immediately and was extremely friendly and helpful. Her husband, Zoran, gave us an all day tour of the wine and oyster country surrounding Dubrovnik and it was the highlight of our trip! My husband and I and our son and his finance` were taken to two wonderful family wineries in the Mali Ston area and to an amazing oyster farm and a fabulous meal in Ston, the home of salt making in this region. Zoran is a wealth of information and incredibly personable as is his wife, Ivana. This is no reflection on Ivana as she is not the owner of this property, but there was construction on the roof several mornings we were there as the property attached to this one is under construction. This was not a plus! Also, the hot water is a real problem in spite of the renovation to this apartment. There is only enough for two showers in the morning before having to wait a few hours for the tank to refill. Since this property has three bedrooms with 3 queen beds and two full bathrooms, it can obviously accommodate up to 6 people. Unfortunately, only two each morning can shower!! Dubrovnik is a magical and amazing city: the view from this apartment is unsurpassed!! I can't imagine a more gorgeous setting. Please keep in mind, there are 240 steps down (and up!) to from this property to the Old Town, although one can walk the road around, only a 10 minute walk, to avoid half the number of stairs. This would be true in most places as the houses are on a hill overlooking this gem of a city! We also visited Zagreb and Zadar and we found Croatia to be one of the most beautiful countries we have ever visited and we've been many places in the world!

Response from Ivana:
Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are very sorry that the construction noise from the neighboring property bothered you. The owners requested from the investors of that property to limit work during your stay numerous times, but they had deadlines which they had to meet; the noisy work is now complete. This winter the main bathroom was renovated, making it more modern and functional. A larger hot water tank was also installed with the option of increasing temperature on demand. While no tank would be large enough to fill 2 tubs continuously, it is plenty for showering. I sincerely hope that you and your family enjoyed your holiday and that these issues did not take away from your experience.
