MONEY
In Cuba, not all credit cards work. We suggest bringing enough “cash” and alternative cards. Recently, Mastercard and VISA are working well.

You can change your money at the airport or at the bank, and the change they give from their currency to Cuban pesos (CUP) is approximately 150 pesos Cuban national currency. But you can also get a better change with the staff who work at home at approximately 250 pesos for each euro or dollar.

During the day you can walk from our house to the famous Havana Malecon, where people enjoy the view and fresh air. Another option is the large Almendares Central Park. For dinner there are several quality restaurants nearby. During the night many tourists and Cubans come to this area for the three most famous music houses we have in Havana: The Cuban Art Factory, the Casa de la Música de Miramar and the space to dance outdoor Salsa “Bar 1830”.
Everything is within walking distance.
