Shintaro's place was very spacious and things there were very top of the line. the beds were comfortable with very soft Pellows and comforter just like the hotel! His place has kitchen, large living&bath, washing machine( after washing, it will go into dryer mode), huge TV. The breakfast table is really nice with 6 chairs when we got there, but had some extra foldable chairs in the storage. They provided umbrellas, too. So it was great for those rainy days. His place was right next to the highway, but surprisingly the noise was minimal. You can see the Skytree from the small window on stairs landing. From other window, the view is not good but it was a nice touch to add a window there.
Things you might want to aware is
1) they don't provide face towel. They had 4bath towels, and one small towel at the toilet and by the sink in bathroom. No paper towel either. So you might want to bring some extra towel or buy nearby convenient store.
2) no washing machine detergent is provided. My previous guest left it but it was not enough. So I bought a box and left it there. It.'seems above washing machine cabinet.
3) that goes to handwash soap, too. But you can always buy at 100yen lowson or nearby store.
Peggy is the one to communicate with you. And she is very prompt and very nice. You won't meet either of them in person. But she will give you any assist if you need.
Last note is about location. This place is right in the middle of subway Morishita&Ryogoku station. Morishita starion might be a little bit closer to this place, but no convenience store if you walk from Morishita station. If you walk from Subway Ryogoku or JR Ryogoku station, you'll find enough convenience store, and more restraints to to eat.
Overall, it was really nice luxurious nice place to stay. After long day of outing&walking, his place is really nice to come back to. I'll highly recommend this place.
Oh, one more note. It's only 2 stops by Soubu JR line to Akihabara. And from Akihabara, you can take YAmanote JR line to Tokyo(2stops from Akihabara) , Harajyuku or other major place. So if you have rail pass, you can use it to go to Tokyo. If you Get off at JR line Ryogoku station, it's faster to exit from EAST exit. It's about 8-10min walk from station. it's not too bad at all.
