Our Traditional House located in Cheliana, Rethymno of Crete, this serene getaway blends traditional Cretan architecture with modern comfort. In the immediate surroundings are the beautiful caves of Melidoni (Gerontospilos) and Zoniana (Sendoni). Also Knossos/Heraklion is not far away. You can make lovely walks in the Ida Mountains and enjoy real nature. Hiking trails, olive groves and shepherds, ancient churches, more monasteries (Vossakos, Arkadi), the famous kitchen and lovely wine. Here you can live the healthy Cretan Life yourself. In 20 minutes by car you can reach Anogia and see local heroes (Partisans), tapestry and the Nida Plateau (birthplace of Zeus). Also visit the Skinakas Observatory here. Also Rethymnon is not far away as it's 40 minutes by car.Before Rethymnon you can see the beautiful Bali in which exists outstanding and clean beaches. So, you can go there and enjoy your swimming! Last but not least, an other good place to visit, that it's beside our village( 2 villages before), it is called Drosia and it has great restaurants with tasteful food!
