Errichel is a family-run farm and hospitality business offering a stunning rural setting with spectacular views of Highland Perthshire. We have 3 unique holiday cottages and Errichel House has 4 lovely ensuite guest rooms and is home to Thyme at Errichel Restaurant.
Becky Newman and Fiona Sloan are the people who you speak to on the phone or by email before meeting us on arrival. When Becky is not at her desk she can usually be found in a pair of green wellies feeding and checking livestock. Fiona runs the Front of House, covering all public areas, Reception, Thyme Restaurant and housekeeping in Errichel House. Paul Newman is Chef Patron of Thyme at Errichel Restaurant, a 2 AA Rosette, true field to fork dining experience. Paul is a world-class chef and he looks after all elements of the dining experience at Errichel. He too can be found in between service, out in the tractor, working on the farm. You may meet him during dinner service as he often pops out of the kitchen to speak to guests. If you are staying at Margmore Cottage, either Paul or Becky's father Alastair will escort you over to the cottage to make sure you find your way and settle you in.
We have a passion for great food, great hotels and creature comforts and value a very practical sort of luxury which comes through in everything we do here. We don't do hot tubs, but we do do huge baths, powerful showers, massive beds and comfortable quality furnishings. We run a truly field to plate business, breeding our own native rare breed livestock, whose produce we showcase in our Restaurant and Rooms. By breeding our own animals we are supporting rare breeds, conserving our environment, creating a sustainable farm with an emphasis on Slow Food.
The Errichel family has an international background - Becky was brought up in Hong Kong and Paul spent 12 years working in South Africa. We bring this love of international life and flavours to Errichel and it is our pleasure to welcome people from all around the Globe to stay in this lovely part of Highland Perthshire.
