Welcome to the Captain Locke room in the historic 1797 House (its birth year) in one of America’s original gated communities. The walls are long gone, though, and we now welcome the world to our home along the Connecticut River with an morning cup of freshly ground organic coffee and irresistible cider doughnuts from North Hadley Sugar Shack or Atkins Farms. Close to UMass, Mount Holyoke, Amherst, Smith and Hampshire colleges, and Northampton and I-91.

This is a great location; during our one-night stay it was quiet. The room was clean and had the charm of the 1797 house that it's in. The bed was comfortable. We appreciated the flexibility in the arrival/departure times.
